08-03-2026Giving these a bad review for being small, when they're called "Micro", is like complaining that a needle is too pointy. These are very good split shot for fly fishing, where it's common to want to add a very small amount of weight, enough to help small flies sink while allowing them to cast well with a light fly rod, and to drift naturally. That often means using less than 0.2 gram or 1/100th of an ounce of weight. I'd estimate these range in size from No 1 or slightly larger, to No 6 or maybe even smaller. Thus the biggest ones in this assortment are at most the size of a BB, and that's perfectly appropriate for fly fishing with nymphs. The container stays closed more firmly than a more expensive micro shot dispenser I've had. I'm very happy with these for the price.

08-03-2026Wish the picture would have done these justice. I don't know how anyone could ever use these. They are super tiny like made for a doll house. The size description is really hard to picture. These are practically useless, since you'd have to use almost all that come in the packages to make a decent weight enough to use. Then all 5 pks are the exact same small pieces. The picture is showing the largest and smallest ones on my palm. I'm not a fisher , I bought these as a gift so I changed my review. It's not the sellers fault. I just wish they had a size reference before I purchased.

08-03-2026Good split shots for fly fishing allowing you to add slight weight to reach strike zone. Cannot easily remove from line with fly on, but if your changing out flies often and adding tippet it will not be an issue. Packaging is good for easily removing weights while wading.

08-03-2026As mentioned before by other reviewers these weights are on the smaller size but perfect for fly fishing setups. A very nice range of sizes and plenty of them. Unlike some other brands of smaller weights the opening in the weight is wide and easy to attach to any size tippet.
