I must preface by saying I searched high-and-low for a good rubber teether toy for FERRETS, not babies. Hence it having to be unscented, plant-based and overall safe for babies AND animals.I just got it, and already it's a huge hit for both of them. I got it after searching for the right one originally because my female is a massive chewer and I was hoping getting a nice durable chewtoy for her would save their hammocks and blankets from getting destroyed by her need to chew.So far, they both are quite hilariously fighting over it. I may need to get more! When it comes to personal tastes, it had a very strange, chemical-like smell when I originally grabbed it out of the package. I left it for nearly a day, and it's not so strong now. That, and the fluffs don't seem to register it at all, so we seem fine.I'll update in a few months time to see if it really will be durable, but so far it's a massive win for me!

Baby likes the Calmies! The item was our choice since this was one of the few (if not only) natural teether that's actually natural. The rubber is taken from the tree (like sapp) and that's pretty much it. (Unlike Sophie the giraffe which has food grade paint). Can't get more plant based than that and it's proven to be sustainable over the last 30 years. What I like:There's different textures to it, so it has a smooth part, a red vine (like Twizzlers) and a bumpy texture. Montesorri friendly. I assume this helps baby to try out different feelings on the gums/tooth. I would ask but won't get a legible answer. Hopefully this will be good for the molars since it's not just one type of texture. Also, on a hot day, you can put in the fridge/freezer to be cool. No liquid or condensation. TSA approved. And it doesn't make any noise. What You may not like:Now it does smell like rubber which is something natural, believe it or not. There's no coating or colors or dyes. This is what the color of rubber is in mother nature. But like honey or roses, this is the natural scent of rubber. It's not toxic it's just that we're used to this scent as being "chemical" but it's actually a raw scent. I saw old reviews that mentioned vanilla but that's from an older model that the manufacturer doesn't make anymore. There's no vanilla scent.PS. If you squeeze it, it turns into a flower. Kind of a fun thing to do as an adult to relieve stress. Ha

I ordered two different teethers for my twins and both are fantastic! The Calmies Rubber Teething Ball is a great design! Both of my three month olds had trouble holding it, but their hands fit inside easily which made it stay on (until one pulled it off of the other! Lol) Of course, once they had it securely in(on) their hand, it went directly toward the mouth for chewing, as designed. It's made of natural rubber, which also means anyone with that allergy may want to avoid, but those looking for a product made from nature will appreciate! Being rubber, it's very flexible but also a bit sticky and grabs hair (postpartum hair loss haha.) It has three different textures on the flanges: smooth, twisted, and tiny bumps (plus a seam around the middle that I'm not sure is intentional, but offers an additional texture and isn't an issue for me.) Bonus: like the Petinube, this teether works great to keep little hands from pinching while breastfeeding! The twins have been trading off playing with this toy for the past few hours. I'm sure we'll get many months of use during the teething stage. (Check out my review of the Petinube Silicone Wrist Teether, also pictured.)

We love this! It's natural so that's a plus. I don't want my baby ingesting nasty chemicals. It's easy to grab which is even better! Fairly easy to put in mouth though she usually holds it sideways so for now I have to help her, not a big deal though. Out of all the natural pacifiers and teeters ove gotten her she likes this and the CaaOcho fish the most. Seems to be pretty durable as well! Love the textured ribs it has too.People would do well to realize:-If your baby doesn't like it it's not the toy or company's fault! Most babies don't like EVERY. SINGLE. TOY. They do have preferences. Use it as a ball, many others say their kid loves to chase it!-Yes it smells. Not really true vanilla but similar. But way better than other natural rubber toys! IDK how people say their others don't smell because the pacifiers and nipples and fish teether I bought have ALL smelled of a actual rubber smell. I'll take this over them any day and vanilla is actually a calming scent so perhaps its intentional. Kudos to you Calmies! I'll take anything that calms my lil teether!-It's about the size of a baseball. I thought it'd be smaller but am pleasantly surprised!-Yes there are seams. But it's pretty durable! Unless your kid is half German Shepard, you shouldn't have to worry about it being torn apart.-It can be a little tricky to get in the mouth correctly but help your kid out a few times and they'll get it eventually! Mine usually figures it out within ten minutes if I dont help herI love this toy. If they made more toys I'd buy them right up! Between teething, grasping, playing, and later chasing and bouncing. I know we will get more than what we paid out of it. I mean this thing will probably last her at least 6 years. And then I bet it would be good for a dog who chews but not tears apart toys.

My son loves it. He is 3 months old and it is very easy for him to hold on to and bring to his mouth. I love that it’s made from natural rubber making it very soft and flexible for little baby hands and mouths.
