The Klein Tools IR07 is a dual IR (infrared) thermometer and probe thermometer. This rugged pocket thermometer measures temperature from -40 to 572-Degrees Fahrenheit (-40 to 400-Degrees Celsius) for both IR and probe measurements. The IR thermometer has a Distance-to-Spot ratio of 8:1 and the target laser can also be used as a laser pointer. The Probe accurately measures air, liquid and surface temps and has a convenient hook for hands free indoor measurements. The IR07 quickly calculates differential temperature (T1-T2) and has a backlit LCD for easy viewing in low light.

08-03-2026IR function works great for surface temperature check, and probe is awesome with ambient temperature or sticking through a vent. Quick to use, sturdy in the hand--seems accurate when comparing to bulb thermometers.

08-03-2026As a Corporate Chef that travels and utilizes both the probe and the Infrared functions daily, this is a great product at an incredible price. It’s better than any other version of this type of thermometer I’ve ever had. I have utilized these for 5 years now and the only thing that causes me to replace it is because I give it to my peers when I’m feeling nice.

08-03-2026Love this thing. Easy to use, great accurate function. Does all the stuff that my fieldpiece did for a third the price. This tool is crucial for the work I do, I use it for checking delta T and temp rise on HVAC systems. Awesome tool, very pleased.

08-03-2026Not sure where all the concern as far as durability is coming from on other reviews but this is by far one my favorite tools in my toolbag I work in hvac and this thing can handle everything it needs to while being more capable of giving quicker and accurate measurements then other brands.the t1 an t2 feature is super helpful and the probe is super quick compared to others I've had in the past .the laser on it is just as lethal. I read the other reviews and thought I'd take the gamble and im glad I did my life just got alot easier

08-03-2026I have many Klein Tools. Love the quality. That’s why I paid $50 for this combination instant read probe & IR thermometer. It’s works very well. Did not need temp adjustment as it’s right on temp.We all fry stuff with oil too hot. You shouldn’t be over 400, and not under 350. If your oil is smoking, it’s too hot or wrong oil! It’s hard to know on even a good stove or grill. I guess if you have induction burners you can keep oil temp at or below 400F. Anyway most need this tool to know for sure.One nitpicking fact tho. It’s left handed! Yes if you use your right hand to measure temp either probe or IR the display will be upside down. I am VERY right handed, thus uncoordinated left, so I find that annoying. You’d think Klein engineers would have programmed a setting where you can change that readout. My Thermapen MK4 screen rotates as you move it. Idea for a revision “B” Klein Tools engineers (no charge)

08-03-2026Nice combination of contact and laser heat sensor. It's a Klein so expect good quality and that's what you'll get. I use it in many applications and having one tool instead of two is a good deal.

Both IR and Probe uses makes it very versatile in taking temperature measurements anywhere. Put the probe in a Supply, Return or Ductwork and get a reading. Use it to verify a Thermostat, use it to measure temperature in vents to high to reach. This tool gets the job done.Large easy to read and backlit readout sets it apart from the others, even the other Klein Tools temperature probes that I have used. Fastest response time to read temperature I have seen. I’ve used it in many different situations and it never fails to deliver. I highly recommend this tool. Add it to your tool collection, you will not be sorry.
