Extremely happy with this nifty sanitizing product. In the news I saw that UV light is used on a basketball court to disinfect after the spread of virus, and got the idea that I can use a handheld uv at home to disinfect as well. Found this product on Amazon and it's amazing. For me, I am extremely allergic to chlorine (bleach), and was hoping to find something to replace it at this time of a crisis like now. Since receiving it, I used it on everything from my shopping bag and car handles to my clothes and in my bathroom.Even though the immediate use for me was in this time of crisis, I can see myself using it for disinfecting my personal stuff that must be covered with germs and bacteria like my cell phone, keys and shoes.. It is effective and better, and less expensive than ordinary cleaning solutions. It can probably be used to eliminate mold in houses located in humid areas- but have not tested that myself yet.It does not heat up the surfaces when used, even for minutes. The appearance is chic and futuristic and easy to take with you. Very easy to use, recommend it to everyone who wants to have cleaner germ-free world around them.
Edited post:This lamp quit working within two months. This item was stored on a shelf by the door and not carries around. Never dropped (can't say what happened during shipping). It did not impress me that it worked well, but a short time after receipt, it would not charge and would not run on power. This item is a complete waste of $$$.Disappointed in this product. I waited so long for I too.Like. Easy to use. Charges quickly.Dislike: Size is too small. Also, I was informed by a local health care practitioner that the are not effective. Sources vary on the effectiveness however, so I will will withhold judgment on this aspect.I wanted something I could use when I had to do out of the home and for sanitizing mail, etc.
Good quality and exactly what I wanted and as advertised
The bulb did not work, have not been able to buy replacement bulb
Handy-dandy for sanitizing groceries and packages, etc., that we brought into the house -- but in process of remodeling and moving into new house, it strangely walked away.
The lamp fits in the palm of your hand and works like described. Light won't turn on if it is facing up which prevents you from damaging your eyes. Powered by 4 AAA batteries and has AC plug possibility. Thanks
Not a good value for 29.00 the wand with u v light is about four inches long. Sending back
I paid a higher price for this product because it was advertised as "rechargeable". It's not, unless you install 4 AAA Rechargeable batteries (I just happen to have them). I got a nice reply to my question about this issue, with instructions to recharge my own rechargeable batteries while installed in the UV-C Light using the included USB cord, or for a faster recharge I can remove my batteries and put them in my own recharger. At only 2W it is not going to go thru a lot of batteries. I have use the device frequently on door handles, light switches, and my cell phones, and have not yet had to recharge it.
