08-03-2026Bought these masks because they meet the ASTM Level 3 standard. It is very important to me that my masks have known, tested, filterability. In fact, it looks like from some of their Nelson Lab results that they may exceed the ASTM Level 3 standard on some specifications.In my use of these masks, they have performed well. They fit my slightly larger than normal face well, and seem to stay on better if I talk than my previous masks. They are lighter weight than I expected, yet they must be doing filtering well, since the effort it takes to breathe thru them is typical for a surgical type mask.The sole defect that I have seen with these masks is that the inside and the outside look almost identical. It is harder than it ought to be to tell which side to use against your face.My only question about these masks is that they--like seeming all surgical masks--do not form a perfectly tight seal around your mouth and nose like an N95 mask does. There are some areas, like where the mask bunches up in between the chin straps, where there is an easily visible gap. How much does this affect safety?

I did and spoke to a nice woman in North Carolina.I bought a box in March 2021 (the purple masks) and another in December 2021 (the cream colored masks). The quality was great for both. Each time the masks came in a box with a plastic bag within. Each mask is clearly labeled Made in USA. The masks are clean and odorless.Perhaps someone should look into the negative reviews with photos that seem completely different than what I got when I ordered. I don't often spend my time writing reviews but in this case it seems as if something is fishy and unfair and I felt moved to speak up.The woman on the phone told me that the factory supplies masks in volume to an Amazon Facility in North Carolina and that they box them up to supply Amazon customers. If you visit the ecoguard website you can read about how they manufacture both the fabric for the masks and the masks themselves. All in the USA.I use these for double masking under my own homemade cotton masks. I find the ear loops are comfortable and the fit is secure. I can go all day without feeling discomfort. It is a little hard to breathe when I am called on to exert myself, but I think that means that the two masks are providing some protection.Only once did an ear loop tear off and that was because I yanked hard on it. I'm very happy with these and recommend them.

I have to wear masks due to immunosuppression, and I was looking for a mask that meets high standards of filtration and is comfortable and does not cause allergies. This model is the best I've come across! You can stay with it for hours and not feel suffocated. It is insulated and sits wonderfully on the face. High quality and well built. The color is also wonderful.
