I really like this set because of the variety of the pencils that are included. You get a great starter set that includes most of what you will need to start drawing including the variety of pencils spanning the from the very hard 5H for very light lines to 8B that gives you very dark sof leads to easily lay down gradients and for blending.Additionally, there's charcoal pencils that are nice because they give you the feel of charcoal drawing without the mess of charcoal sticks.Best of all it comes with a nice carrying case. You most likely wont need or use everything but its noce to have a good variety when you first start out so you can experiment with different mediums and techniques.

I love these assorted sets like this, because they remind me of those art sets that were popular gifts growing up, but these supplies actually work as intended.The watercolour pencils are so vibrant, and while there's only a few colours, they mix and blend so well. With pigmented primaries, you can get pretty much any colour you need. They also dry really nicely, leaving no chalky or rough finish behind, which is excellent for going over with the other pencils. The metallic ones aren't quite as bright and vibrant as the other two sets, but they do have some really nice colours, and are nice and metallic-y which is great.Overall, great pencil set. Loved this, and have been having a lot of fun with it.

I ordered this art set as a present for my almost 12 year old daughter, and I am very happy with it. I LOVE that the set has everything she needs for sketching, and that all the pieces fit into the included zippered case. The included sketchbook seems like it is nice quality as well. This set is perfect for my beginning artist, and she was SO excited when she saw it.Overall, this is a great all-inclusive set that made my budding artist feel like a professional. I would definitely order it again.

This is a terrific set for a budding artist or just someone that would like to develop a little skill with drawing or sketching. My granddaughter has always been interested in art and has spent a lot of time exploring different media. She has enjoyed art classes in school but now that she is just starting high school, classes are all online, and she won't even be taking an art class until later in the year (after Christmas). In the meantime, I thought this kit would be a great creative outlet and would also contain just about everything she might need to learn more about working in this medium. This set has a huge variety of pencils -- a dozen of each: sketch pencils in varying hardnesses; charcoal pencils (4 each of three different hardnesses); colored pencils; water color pencils, metallic colored pencils, plus 4 pastel pencils, three blending pencils, a sand-paper block, a pencil extender, a sharpener, an eraser and a paint brush and a water brush. I guess the last two are to use with the water color pencils, something I have never tried...The best part is that a very nice sketch pad is also included; it has 50 sheets of what I suppose would be considered medium-weight paper (68 pound). The paper is bright white and looks and feels like top quality. In fact, everything in the set appears to be of good quality. Everything except the sketch pad fits in a large but light-weight zippered case that will be easy to carry or tuck inside of a backpack once school is back in session. The current price of $26.99 seems very reasonable for so many items. The paper alone is probably worth most of the cost. I think this would make a great gift.

This is a pencil set for the serious sketcher. The set includes graphite pencils in various hardness, charcoal pencils, colored pencils, pastel pencils, blending tips, plus some useful accessories like a vinyl eraser, metal pencil sharpener, pencil extender, water brush pen, and a sandpaper block. The pencils come organized in a fold out zippered case with each item in its own elastic slot. With the set, you also get a 50 sheet ring bound sketch book (9”x12”).I find this kit an excellent value. It has all the pencils that I need for my illustration course. The pencils are good quality, and the sketchbook is a fine bonus, one more thing I won’t need to buy separately. I really like the zippered case since it keeps all my supplies well organized and easy to find. The colors of the pencils are spread well across the palette, with a well balanced selection of purples, greens, blues, reds, and yellows, plus browns and metallic shades. Overall, this is a fine kit for artists and students of all ages.

We had wanted to get back to our creative endeavors with Covid and this set seemed like a chance. We also picked up a couple adult coloring books on Amazon and together we’ve had some fun creating.This is a nice set. The folded holder is great - it’s a little overwhelming at first how much you get. The one thing we haven’t tried yet are the watercolor pens, but they look fun. Everything arrived in great condition - one pencil’s tip was broken - and looks great. If not getting for yourself, it would make a nice gift.We are not professional artists, though I’ve taken sketching in college. But we enjoy it all enough that this set met our requirements and has given us plenty of enjoyment.Happy to keep using and to recommend.
