08-03-2026Enjoy this product with Fire Ball. I have a great appreciation for the cinnamon flavor. With the perfect ratio of sweetness to spice, this is an outstanding product. Each 16 oz bottle comes in an individual box. Have bought this on multiple occasions from Amazon with absolute confidence.

08-03-2026Editing my original review and changing the rating to 3 stars because their customer service was very courteous and sent me another bottle at no charge. I thought I received a bad batch because my mix was a cloudy purple color with small dark sediments in it. When mixed with bourbon (I’ve tried 3 different brands now) the drink becomes a cloudy purple color and quite frankly looks nothing like a traditional old fashioned nor the photos in the description. The second bottle was the same except for this one not having sediment in it. Purple hazy mix. The drink tastes good, but nowhere near what a standard standard old fashioned should. This mix is heavy on cherry flavor. I make a lot of old fashioned’s at home using simple syrup and bitters (various kinds) and I like trying different well reviewed mixes here on Amazon. For me this is a quality mix with nice packaging and very good customer service but the drink falls short of a proper old fashioned.

08-03-2026I love an Old Fashioned as much as anyone. I searched for the right mixer for my taste. Tried a few others with less than favorable flavors but LAVA is perfect for my palette. I have used it with multiple whiskeys including Rye and Scotch and it works well with all of them. LAVA has the perfect notes without anything overpowering.Note: You may want to order direct from the LAVA website. They do a much better job of packaging than Amazon for safe arrival. It cost a little bit for shipping but you will see why. 50% of my orders from Amazon were broken but LAVA happily sent me another that was packaged properly for shipment. Excellent customer service. I am a fan.

08-03-2026I am an OLD FASHIONED "Mix" 'snob'. There was only ONE syrup for me--and then PROOF forced me to try others syrups--after they had fufillment issues-two times. LAVA syrup is the ONLY one to come close to a smooth and balanced OF-not overly sweet or overly spiced.. My only complaint is that it is, perhaps, slightly heavy on the 'cherry' flavor --yet the orange oils come thru nicely on the finish. And the added bonus---LAVA is less expensive --by 1/2!

08-03-2026First of all, I absolutely love this Old Fashioned syrup. It is really flavorful, easy to use, and the hint of maraschino cherries is fantastic. Don't forget to shake your bottle because the best stuff settles in the bottle. Speaking of bottle, that's where I have my gripe. Recently, shipping has become an issue. This last order arrived via USPS rather than amazon and was completely broken, with all the liquid drained, and (most depressingly) not eligible for refund or replacement even though I tried to lodge that complaint the same day I received it! I'll order again, but fingers crossed the shipment issues stop.
