08-03-2026They seem sturdy they are sharp and good shape. Quality control is cräp though I got 48 hooks in the 50 count package plus one random larger different style hook. I will be hitting the kenai river this weekend for red and silver salmon. That will definitely be a real test on them. I should have bought my normal Gamakatsu hooks.

08-03-2026We ordered the wrong size of hook, instead of a 6/0 we ordered a #6 not paying attention. I will say these work well for catching baitfish like small perch and sunfish. The red color seems to attract them even with very little bait on the hook. The color does fade after 10 casts or so.

08-03-2026Good hooks. I usually use owner and gamakatsu. Tried these because I lose alot on snags in nw oregon. Good on steelhead. Stay sharp on fingernail test after fishing, snags, normal use.. had one bad hook with straightened eye in box. I have horsed on steelhead and pulled them off snags, used pliers to remove from fish..none have bent or broke. I'd definitely use more..

08-03-2026Great hooks.Work perfectly for intruder/ spey flies& tube flies.No issues with them,i smash the barbs, and no loss of fish,does exactly what a circle hook is supposed to do.Definately a great salmon/ steelhead hook..Buying more.
