These are weird macadamias. The roasting is very uneven. Some are fine, some aren’t roasted at all, and some are hard. The flavors are weird, too. Every once in a while, I would get a strong, sweet, fruity taste. Not a rancid taste - a very pleasant fruit flavor. I don’t know if something cross pollinated one of the trees or what, but they should find that tree and make an orchard from it!On the fence if I will buy again. I’d love to get the roasted consistency of the Walmart brand macadamias in bulk without all the salt.
These are large and generally delicious except where quite a very large number of the nuts have been scorched and or burnt during the roasting process. Unfortunately, they cant be returned or I would have since trying to taste the delicate flavor of these Macadamia nuts through the burnt spots is not something I would reorder to enjoy. Such a shame.
Very good macadamia nuts and cheaper than buying at the store
Then nuts were fresh and no salt.
This package of macadamia nuts is a good option for anyone who cooks/bakes a lot or even a smaller bakery. They have a great taste and are perfectly roasted. Whether you leave them as chunks or dice them up they are great in cookies. The bag is a bit more expensive than other options out there but this bag is definitely worth the buy.
Very happy with the product
Significant number of rancid nuts. Very disappointing product. Don't buy.
Not very good tasting, kind of reminds me a little bit of burnt toast. And greasy, reminds me of peanut oil. Then I started biting into some rancid ones and decided to toss them after one particularly bad one.
The last time I shopped for macadamia nuts in the grocery store, I about fainted at the price. These macadamia nuts are reasonably priced and make a great snack. The roasting makes them a little tougher than the ultra creamy texture of raw. I enjoy the taste and am happy to have a reasonably priced source of macadamia nuts.
I bought these for a special Cooke Island cookie recipe and they are very good. I have no experience with macadamia nuts so I'm no expert but I may purchase more of them. I liked them! They ARE heavy in fat apparently like cashews.
