I purchased this case of six rice crackers from Amazon because the price was great. They arrived promptly overnight on 1/13, which I really appreciated. However, I noticed the shelf life on the box is listed as 2/10/25, which is significantly shorter than the May 2025 shelf life on the pack I purchased locally. While the crackers are fresh now, the shorter shelf life is disappointing and something to keep in mind for anyone planning to stock up. Overall, the product itself is great, but I would recommend double-checking expiration dates if this is important to you.
I've been purchasing Q. Rice Cakes for decades, obviously, I really like both the Salted and Unsalted. Not a fan of the Flavored varieties. These Cakes are sturdy and hold together even with butter, jam and other water-based food atop. These make for a healthful snak, even nuking w/ real cheese, aka "Holly's Faux Pizza".The multi-pack variety shown above is my 1st, not singular bag purchase which arrived perfectly protected all cakes in pristine condition(so far)- fresh and tasty. The 2nd part of my Review is about *this* particular Order concerning a weird problem I'm having with the Waxed, Inner-lined Bags which keep cakes fresh and hold them in place.Of the 4 I've opened so far, 2+2, theres been a seemingly Design Flaw: Each of the 4 bags have split down the side immediately upon opening the top of each bag. This has caused a simultaneous releasing of everyrice cake inside- impossible to stop, let alone catch, b4 they tumble and roll out+around everywhere. This inexplicable [similar to run-in-stockings or pebble-on-windshield] gravitational split causes a real+ annoying mess. In our house, once they've hit the grouted-tile kitchen floor, they smash apart like a glass mug, piles of crumbs spreading everywhere getting stuck in deep grout, under the refridgerator, stove, etc. Even the salvagable, intact cakes can't be consumed, hygienicly, and must be tossed out, wasteful. The wasted wrapper bags arent recycleable. It's never happened to me w/ singular bags of rice cakes so*I hope* this 6 pac case is a "batch-related" anomaly. I really hope its not a case (pun) of the Parent Company's conscious decision to cost-cut by cutting-corners in bag manufacturing. If so, I'm not planning on ceremonial occasions for the Opening of Q. Rice Cakes bags. I don't have a size-appropriate rice cake storage container. Honestly, I'd never remember in time.YES, I certainly Recommend Q.Rice Cakes, Yes, I'll continue to purchase singular bags - for as long as the inner bags remain strong/intact upon opening. However, if a full-on-side-splitting of newer bags become an "Updated" version of the product, I'm Out. In 2025, I can barely afford a week's worth of nutritional food (or utilities) and it's getting worse. Thus, throwing away perfectly good food is no longer an option.I wish you the best.
Excellent, delicious, crunchy, low-calorie snack. Disappointed that I paid 20$ one week ago and now the price is 71$.
The first box delivered were great. Very crisp. But I'm on my second shipment and they are not as fresh tasting despite not yet reaching the expiration date.
Quaker Lightly Salted Rice Cakes are my favorite variety of Quaker rice cakes. They're crisp, light, and the salt is on one side of each rice cake. They are the perfect thickness, and unlike some rice cakes, these don't have pieces of bran to get stuck in your teeth. At only 35 calories per rice cake, these are light and satisfying.I prefer to buy this six pack so I don't run out often.I will definitely buy these again and again. They're delicious and adds a light crunch to your meals, and they're especially good with a tiny bit of peanut or almond butter or a slice of cheese.
Great product and really good flavors.
Ricecakes are fresh and crunchy. Apple Cinnamon is good. Caramel is delicious, but my favorite is White Cheddar. I will order more when these 6 packages are gone and that will be very soon!
Nice light snack without a lot of sugar or sodium. Good taste. Good price. They arrived fresh.
I’m currently dealing with health issues making it very difficult to eat. Along with all my allergies and intolerances these are perfect. Non bothersome to the GI. Very easy to digest. Super easy to grab and throw in a bag while on the go. Fairly healthy actually considering it is a packaged item. Taste good even being lightly salted. Has a nice crisp texture. Can be super filling when needed and satisfying as a quick snack. It is more on the bland side but it goes with anything. These are full size too. I scooped em up while on sale so I definitely encourage anyone to purchase.
I honestly didn’t expect to like these as much as I do but the Quaker Oats Large Rice Cakes are actually amazing. They have the perfect light crunch and taste way better than I imagined for something so simple. I usually eat them plain or sometimes spread peanut butter or cream cheese on top and it tastes like a snack you’d actually crave. They’re not dry like some other brands and they hold their texture really well without falling apart. Plus they’re big enough to fill you up a bit so it’s perfect for between meals or even breakfast with coffee. Definitely worth buying again and keeping in the pantry.
