08-03-2026I bought this for my wife while she was battling cancer and wanted something to take her temperature while caregiving for her, but allowed her to continue to sleep. This has the disadvantage of being a no-touch, so keep in mind your reading the skin temperature NOT the internal.If you're reading this, I would encourage you to get this as it's amazing, but ensure you take your own temperature before reading your intended target to get a relative reading on them. This always reads me 97.5F and +/- .2F usually. Meanwhile the under-the-tongue thermometer reads 98.2F which is more accurate overall.

Almost all of its readings are in the 97’s and low 98’s, even when we clearly have a fever and all other thermometers in our house confirm that we have a fever. My 1-yr-old and I just had pneumonia for about two weeks. She had a low-grade fever (per other thermometers, including the one in urgent care), and I had a very high fever for 11 days. This thermometer never registered temps above 98.6, though we were clearly hot, with chills and body aches. This thing was always 3 to 5 degrees lower than our other thermometers. I think this company should be prosecuted; their product is arguably dangerous.
