These mics come in a nice case and the included mounting hardware is great too. The mics themselves feel well build and solid, and the copper finish looks cool in my opinion. The kick drum mic sounds great and I will probably keep using it for a while. The internal capsule has a little bit of wiggle room inside the housing on the one I got, so you can feel it shake around a little when you move it, but it doesn’t seem to affect the sound. The snare mic is solid and has no loose moving parts. The size is nice and it fits well onto my drum. The sound quality from it is fine, but it isn’t great to my ears. The tone captured seems to sort of lack body and it’s tricky to EQ it to get to the sound I’m going for, but it gets me close enough that I’ll probably use it for a little while, but I will plan on replacing it with something a little better pretty soon.Overall I’d say it’s a great deal.
I used these two mics for tabla. The only issue I have is the feedback when you use both of them, especially during live performance. You may have to make adjustments to get good sound.
Great mics just don’t fit in my cajon. But using it on conjos
What I like is the excellent sound quality and the solid build of these mics. I banged my drums hard and everything recorded clear with no distortion. I used these two mics to record my whole kit and was really surprised at the results. It comes with a tripod and rim mount. The only thing upsetting to me was there was no carrying case. It states it comes with a hard case, but my mics came in a white box with foam only. Overall, I'm happy with the mics and their recording , but there should be an update if you get a hard case or if this is some different packaging.
