We bought this scale for when our baby was just a few weeks old we were worried he was not gaming weight so this gave us a peace of mind. So far even though he is too big to be laying him down now we continue to use it while he stands up to check on his growth.
This has given me a peace of mind doing weighted feeds! So worth it!
I had a baby a few years ago that didn't gain weight well at first, so I got into the habit of weighing my babies frequently. I have also used it for "weighted feeds" to check how much milk baby is getting by weighing before and after nursing him. After about a month ish of use, the display flipped upside down one day. ♀️ Scale still worked, but it was inconvenient. I contacted momcozy, and they immediately sent me a new one.Works great, I like that you can measure baby's length as long as they are under 24 inches! My baby is now 3 months and too long to measure his length on the scale, but it's still great for weighing.I suppose I will just keep the scale for weighing myself after he's too big for the scale. It's nice that it turns into a "regular" scale capable of weighing an adult, so you can use it longer than the first few months.
I think this scale is fine for weekly weigh ins and probably close enough to accurate for a general idea of what your baby weighs. I like that it can eventually be used as a normal scale. What's a bummer is that I bought this for weighted feeds to get a sense of what my baby gets from breastfeeding. At first I thought it was because my baby moves a lot, but even when she's still, it'll bounce back and forth between weights, sometimes 15-30 grams. That's .5 to 1 ounce!! For a baby that eats 3 ounces, that makes a big difference.Since it's so variable, I'll try to reweigh baby and other scales have a reset or reweigh button, but with this one, I need to lift her and put her back down. With an already squirmy baby, that's more of a challenge.I get that it's not as expensive as other scales so maybe my expectations are high, but I just wish I'd returned it since it doesn't work for my purposes.Update 3/9/2025Scale is now broken. It says my baby weighs 7 lbs when she is 13. Weirdly this is no longer available but they have another listing for the same scale. Too bad people won't know this is a piece of crap.
Great baby scale overall but if your child is very wiggly, this scale isn’t for you. It doesn’t do well in accuracy with hyper wiggly babies (which what child doesn’t want to move around when you put them on a scale?) and thus makes it hard to get an accurate reading.Other than that, it’s a great scale and breaks down in size for storage and the multiple types of units makes it easy if you’re trying to track kg vs lb vs oz vs lb oz.
I bought this Momcozy Baby Scale for my daughter for when my grandson wasn’t gaining weight as quickly as expected, and it honestly gave us all so much peace of mind. It’s really easy to use — just turn it on, zero it out, and you’re good to go. Even when the baby wiggles around, the “hold” feature still gives a steady reading. It goes together in minutes and very easy to assemble.I double-checked the numbers with our pediatrician’s scale, and it was super close every time, so I trust it. The tray is comfy and curved, so baby doesn’t slide around, and it’s nice that it can be used later as a toddler or adult scale too. It’s been such a relief to be able to keep track between doctor visits and see that my baby is finally gaining. If you’re worried about your little one’s weight or just want to monitor growth at home, this scale is totally worth it!
This scale does a great job with weighted feeds. It has a resolution of the nearest 5g when you are under 10 or 20 kg. my lactation consultant was impressed because it matched the the performance of their very fancy & expensive scale. it does not have the same certifications & testing as the fancy scale, but it's also 1-2 orders of magnitude more affordable. they took now so they could recommend it to other lactation clients who want to do weighted feeds at home. It really gave me peace of mind during some early feeding challenges. now we use it to weight the baby and the grown ups both, and I'm incredibly happy with this purchase.beware that it doesn't take averages or anything, so you need to have baby hold still, and maybe take a few measurements. I like that you can change between several units with the push of a button, and it has a taste button as well if you need to zero out with something already on the scale like a blanket. remember that a long press will invert the display for readability. that might make it a little harder for some folks to use, but after you've done it a few times it sticks with you pretty well.
My baby was born a little early, and I used to get anxious every week waiting to see if she was gaining enough weight. This scale changed everything. It’s accurate, super easy to use, and now I can check her weight whenever I need to without scheduling constant doctor visits. It’s become part of our weekly routine, and honestly, it’s one of those things I wish I had from the very beginning. Such a blessing for any mom of a preemie. And ghe best thing it ALSO works for mom and dad! Its like a great 2x1!
