The unit stopped working after many months and I reached out to the company and they provided a brand new replacement to me. That was 100% unexpected but definitely appreciated. They didn't have to do this but they did and that means a lot as a buyer.As for the actual unit - it works really well as my husband actually uses it for his cold dips...Thank you again for the great service!

It's very cute. And when it works- it works great. The first month and a half were flawless.However after that it started becoming nonresponsive. It'd randomly turn off and we'd have to dry the sensor at the bottom and put it back in to get the temperature. Not that big a deal until about a week ago. It stopped turning on at all. Then we noticed brown liquid leaking out of the battery compartment. Water got into the it and now it doesn't work at all.Keep in mind we've never opened the compartment or done anything even remotely abnormal with it. There's zero reason it should have stopped working other then poor design. And look, I know this wasn't super expensive. I didn't expect it to last 5 years. If it'd lasted one year- I'd have been happy. But two months of use is a waste of plastic, components, and money.Yes, it's cute. But find something that will last a while longer then this one.

I’m so glad we purchased this! If you are thinking about it, I would highly recommend it. As a first time mom this puts me at ease to know the bath is the perfect temp. To be honest, I think this is one of the reasons bath time is so smooth for our three month old. It is super cute, easy to charge, and we haven’t needed to charge it since we got it (we got it when she was 1 week old and she now 13 weeks old). And we bathe a couple times a week. Worth every penny!

Exactly what we needed! We had a different one that was com9arable price that broke after a couple uses, but this one has really held up perfectly! The display is bright and easy to read. Love how it recharges for those times where I accidentally leave it in the water too long after bath time. Super easy to use with its water sensor, no buttons to figure out. It’s perfect for us!

We absolutely loved our otter thermometer! As first time parents it was one less thing for us to worry about when it came to bath time and making sure the water temperature was safe. Unfortunately, after only two months the product stopped working.Product update:Customer service was wonderful to work with. They sent us a new product. We have been using the item for about a week now. We have been mindful of cleaning the sensors and drying the product after each use.

Temperature and accuracy was good for the first 3 months we used it. The number display started to break down after 3 months where the lines to depict the numbers were failing. Durability wise, not great and maybe it had to do with how waterproof it is and how the technology was sealed. Would recommend getting something else that can last longer.

This has lasted my baby 7 months so far. I love it, and I have peace of mind that her bath water is the right temp. So easy to read with the digital number display, but also shows blue circle for too cold, red circle for too hot, and green circle for correct bath water temp. Simple to use, just throw it in the water. Usually stays on around 10-20 mins while in water, if it turns off take it out of water and then pop it back in the water and it should turn back on. I opted for the rechargeable unit so I didn’t have to mess with replacing a battery. The charger is included with the rechargeable unit. *Tip: Before putting your baby/child into the water, I recommend pushing the thermometer under the bath water so you’re not just reading the top water temp, that way you can check the overall temp. Or stir and mix the bath water well then dunk the thermometer to check overall temp. Overall satisfied with the convenience & ease of use. Plus it can double as a kind of bath toy. Ive seen reviews of thermometers only lasting a couple months; that hasn’t been my experience. I let the unit air dry in open space, on top of bathroom counter for 24-36 hours before storing it.
