Tape cons in a couple of widths. I use to mount my cross stitch completed designs. It holds and is forgiving. I d recommend
I should’ve paid more attention to the note about “frequently returned” vs. the reviews. What a mess to try to remove the tape due to a change sizing. I ended up soaking item in sink for awhile ( I didn’t want tape to mess up washer somehow) and getting the tape to come off quicker. Still took a lot of time. I finally hemmed the old school way.
Whereas this is easy to use and it stabilizes fabric very well, it gums up needles -- not only the stick needles but also the sewing machine needles. I've had to use Goof Off and Goo Gone to clean them.
When sewing doesn’t work
This fabric tape is a must have for everyone who wears clothes. If you can’t sew with thread and needle, this product will save the day and time. It’s super easy to use and you can remove if if needed.
It worked to hem long curtains but the stickiness was a little bit too much. It had to be placed perfectly, if not it got stuck and you had to redo it. Took a few hours to do but it worked out in the end. Not an ease of removal.
What a great sewing tool to have around all the time! I had never used this product, but tried it out on some superwide windows where I had some great grommet curtain panels, but the width required 4 panels. I used the tape to stick two panels together on one side and two panels together on the other side, so I could pull them together in the middle without having to mess with 4 panels. That was months ago, and the tape is still going strong. I could not have sewn those panels' fabric together with my sewing machine. Because of that success, I decided to use it on the ends of a 108" window cushion I was making. Worked like a charm! The only issue I had using it on another project is that if you sew through it (rather than beside it), your needle and thread will jam up as the needle goes through the glue. Even used it to make some pillow covers for our family room and didn't have to add a zipper to the back but just created a fold with the tape to seal the back panel after I'd inserted the foam cushion into the new cover.
I. LOVE. THIS. Needed to side-hem blackout drapes, and was afraid to sew as the fabric has a slight sheen and the dark backing would pull through the light front fabric. This tape is holding the rather heavy fabric perfectly. I have since used it to hem my work pants (BETTER than stitch-hem!), and multiple other items. Easy to use, washable in warm water (have not put in the dryer), from-load machine. Great value for the money, especially since professional work is expensive and can take time. The alteration place told me it would probably cost more for the side hem than the actual drapes cost, so I’m very pleased with this purchase.
