I'm completely addicted to this Contixo F24 Pro drone. This thing rocks. I'm amazed at the range and stability of this drone, and yes, I did register this drone with the FAA and have it properly labeled.My first flight was in an open field to get the hang of the controls. Pretty easy, up / down, rotate left / right. Forward / Backward, move left / right.My second flight was to inspect the damage on my roof from an ice dam. As you can see my pictures from in Snowmass, the photo quality is spectacular. I tried uploading the video that I took, but the file size is too large.I found the using the app to take pictures and videos is way more reliable than using the actual controller. I cannot seem to get the follow me feature to work properly, but I'm sure its user error. The orbit feature works perfectly. We have had 40mph winds the past few days, so I've been grounded, but cannot wait to get back out this coming weekend.

It flies

All around this is a wonderful drone, especially for the price.some observations.- Fun and easy- Good video- Great distance for small drone- Simple to fly- overall wonderful drone I am very happy.Few picky things.- The camera is not on a gyro so it does not self stabilize, action shots with a lot of movement and turns usually come out shaky. This is also an issue when there is wind, the wind rocks the drone slightly and all movement is noticeable on the video.- I have also had difficulty with the follow features, the speed doesn't keep up with say a car even at 25 mph, idk if its because the drone was trying to fly sideways. Not sure if I'm not using the feature correctly so ill try a few more times. It seems for what ever reason the drone follows but the camera doesn't stay focused on the subject the drone is following.

I bought this drone for my 14 yo son who has never had a drone before. I was looking for a good quality drone with all the advanced features, but at a price that wouldn't kill me if he broke it or lost it as he was learning. I wanted something with a lot of range on it too because we have a large property to fly it on. This drone seemed to fit the bill, so I ordered it. It seems sturdy and well built, and the case is a really nice touch. The beginner mode has been great because my son was able to learn to fly without worrying about losing it. We just recently took it off beginner mode to see what it can do, and it really gets out there! The camera is pretty decent (pretty much what we expected for the 1080p version) and takes good pictures as long as it's not being blown around by the wind (don't expect a 3 axis gimbal for this price - but that's not needed for our use). We've had it out in roughly 10 - 15 mph wind with no issues at all holding its position. Return to home feature brings it right back in front of you by a few meters, and the land feature consistently lands it within about 1 meter of the take off location. We are new to drones, and this one was an easy learner, and it has the features to take us well into the intermediate stage too. Very happy with this purchase!

Let me start by saying this is my first ever drone and first ever flight so my expectations and results are definitely mixed. I was in the market for a reasonably priced follow me drone and this one fit the bill though still not quite as small as I'd like. However, the foldable arms definitely make it more portable than the more traditional drones out there. The addition of the carrying case is a nice bonus.Drone: Compact when folded. Battery life better than many similarly priced models. Camera quality was good however a bit shaky. Also, you can see in the video that there appears to be a pixel issue/white spot in the frame. Hopefully not a faulty camera or firmware issue. I will test this further and provide an update.Controls: For my first time ever flying, this was pretty simple once I got through the initial setup. (Side-note: the initial setup can be tedious but I'm sure once I memorize the steps it will be easy and only take a minute). Overall controls were responsive however I noticed that the drone would tend to lose altitude during certain maneuvers. Auto take-off, landing, and hover worked as advertised.Controller: Has most of the features you would want and need with the bonus of quick button Orbit Mode. The biggest issue is the weak-sauce cell phone holder. Unless you have a small phone without a case, don't expect the controller to safely and securely hold it. I have a Motorola in a plain TPU case and the tiny arms couldn't keep it in place. Planning to use an old iPhone 6 as a dedicated controller.App: Installed on the phone and synced with WiFi easily. Offers quick setup instructions for getting the drone in the air. Since I spent most of the battery life getting acquainted on this first flight I haven't used all of the app features yet. I did have issues getting the follow-me feature to work. Both the app and the instructions say this is due to a weak GPS signal. The couple of times that I was able to initiate follow-me, the drone started to fly erratically. I will recalibrate and try again next time with hopefully better results.UPDATE: Dropping from 4 to 1 stars. NOTE: This is for the standard F24 not the Pro 4K. So after testing the camera further to find that there was, in fact an issue with it, my customer service hell began. I contacted customer service and received information for shipping which I had to pay for. I sent the drone to be "repaired", only to receive the exact same drone with the exact same problem. I again contacted them and was provided return info to which I insisted that they must pay for. After about 5 attempts, I finally received a prepaid label. After promptly sending the drone *again* for repair or replacement, I had to wait over a month and contacted them 3 times before getting a completely different, used, and scratched drone in return. The "new" one that they sent, while no longer having a faulty camera, does not operate in "follow me" mode at all. Throughout the process, I continually inquired about upgrading to the Pro due to the inadequate quality of the base model. Not once did they answer or remotely entertain my request. Instead they gave me an equally inadequate drone with functionality problems. Contixo is the absolute worst for customer service. Do yourself a favor and buy something else.

This is my first drone so my experience is limited. I purchased it because I am having roof work done on my house and I wanted to see what they were doing. As a result, I figured I'd purchase this drone. As a novice, I am very impressed with the camera, ease of use, and most importantly the return to home feature. Granted it always lands within a 5 or 6 foot radius of where it took off so use a large take off area to prevent it falling over an edge when it lands. I was flying within minutes. The battery lasts forever(25 full minutes of use both times), and I was able to use it with my VR goggles. Even in the high wind, I was impressed with the ease of control, and quality of camera shots. You must get an SD card so you can record your images. Definitely worth the money 10 times over.
