- USER GUIDELINES: For optimal bond strength, thoroughly clean surfaces with a 50:50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water. Apply tape when temperatures are between 70°F to 100°F (21°C - 38°C), pressing firmly on the surface of tape area for about 30 seconds. Initial tape application to surfaces at temperatures below 50°F (10°C) is not recommended because the adhesive becomes too firm to adhere readily. However, once properly applied, low temperature holding is generally satisfactory.

08-03-2026I'm pretty pleased by this tape.My two case uses I'm basing this review off of are, well, unusual, I'd guess. One was to keep a PVC desk mat flat and in place on a wood-finished antique desk. The other was to hold 1/4" EVA foam to the sides of a top-mounted computer fluid radiator and fans.In both cases the tape was about as easy to use as any with a backing that has to be peeled off. It had sufficient grip to stay in place and hold things firmly. But the tackiness wasn't so huge that repositioning it was an issue. Once in place, it stays where it's supposed to be and that's all you can ask tape to do.It is also quite thin, which was a major selling point for me since i didn't want a lot of bulk adding to the job. It was almost like using two sided glue in how thin it was.I can't speak for its long-term durability, or it's ease of removal yet, since it's only been a few weeks since I got it and used it only twice. It's supposed to stay in place until it needs to be removed and I'd expect that some alcohol or acetone would facilitate its removal if needed, so as long as what you stick it to can stand up to that (or the reliable WD40 method), it should be fine.I should add that the EVA foam to metal to make the radiator look better was especially nice because the surfaces were not the same. The adhesion worked, and even though the EVA foam had some bend memory going on, it hasn't pulled away at all like it often does with more inferior tape.I had the narrowest size, too, so I'd say that larger is not necessarily what you need. I did lay two strips of tape for the EVA foam, making it an inch in total, but the radiator was an inch and a half tall, so the foam is attached only at the top and bottom of the radiator's edges. It's not taped to the fans below.All in all I think it does an excellent job. It wasn't horribly expensive for a double-sided tape, making it a decent value. Especially when I have wasted NONE of it so far for any reason. It does what it's supposed to do, and it does it well.Five stars, and definitely would recommend to anyone.

08-03-2026When it comes to tape, I will only use 3M products - all attempts at using other brands of double sided tape have failed. We had a small project requiring double sided tape, needed good adhesion, though not requiring a lot of strength. This product was easy to use/apply and holds firmly. When you need to remove it, it comes off easily, in one piece, without leaving a residue. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
