Great idea! Helps me feel festive!I can’t drink because of medical reasons, but I’ve missed the feeling of having a special beverage when there’s a social gathering. Also, with younger generations as a whole and with people my age getting more health-focused, broadening non-alcoholic options is a great idea! The bottle is pretty and the bubbly is lighthearted fun.I can see this catching on!In addition to being good for any non-drinker, this would be amazing to have for designated drivers for an event like a wedding!
I'm no sommelier, so take this with a grain of salt (although I know enough to say: don't actually put salt in your wine). This alcohol-free sparkling wine/champagne alternative is definitely different. It's hard to quantify that accurately, but suffice to say it doesn't drink like a normal sparkling wine. If you go into it expecting something that tastes exactly like a champagne but doesn't give you the effects of alcohol, you will find its "missing something". That said, if you approach it with an open mind and accept that it isn't a 1-for-1 translation– but more of an alcohol free interpretation of sparkling wine– it's actually quite good!If I were anyone avoiding drinking for whatever reason (be it pregnancy, sensitivity to alcohol, being in recovery, or just not enjoying the feeling),but wanting to enjoy a glass alongside others, this would definitely be a go-to.My one caveat is that, for *my* package at least, I received it with glass dust on the bottle. It was well packaged and safely shipped with no damage, but it seems like maybe a nearby bottle had broken during production/packaging. As a result, when I removed it from its cardboard packaging, the fine glass dust (particles somewhere around the size of sand) cut my hand before I realized what had happened. I had to tweeze out a teensy tiny piece of glass from my finger. I washed the bottle off in my bathtub with cold water, and then all was well.I considered dropping an additional star for this review due to the glass dust, but I imagine it's something of a fluke, so I'm not dwelling on it. Things happen. That said, if anyone else has this experience, definitely speak up because once is an honest mistake, but more than once is a dangerous quality control problem.
Why should champagne be saved for a “special occasion?” We had this on a random weekend and are ready to order more. It has a nice champagne flavor with crisp bubbles that burst at the right moment. We had it by itself and it had a wonderful light citrus finish. We also added it to orange juice and it was equally as wonderful. It was nice and refreshing and a great alternative for those of us that do not drink alcohol except on rare occasions. This would be a nice addition to a Sunday brunch or even a baby shower. I remember my mother buying “Sparkling grape juice” for us to have at holiday dinners – this would have been SO much better! If you are looking for a true alcohon-free champagne this is as close as you will get, and it is delicious. I would also like to try it with cranberry juice instead of orange juice.
Tasted the So Jennie! for the first time on a flight, and fell in love. It's fizzy, not too sweet, and a perfect replacement when one is looking to reduce overall alcohol consumption.
This has a nice pop for the celebration. I was very impressed with the flavor too! I'm not a fan of sparking cider as it is too sweet and heavy for my taste. This however, has a light clean taste. While it is slightly carbonated, it isn't as much as a sparking wine that would make me feel full or bloated. It's not overly sugary yet everyone at the table enjoyed. Some prefer sweet things and they still enjoyed it too. I will definitely be getting more of this!
Flavor is great, quality it top notch, the packaging is quite feminine though, lol. I shouldn't be surprised based on the name of the brand of course, just something that others may want to just be aware of. I can hide behind the wifey on this one as it being something she likes, but it's not a bottle that I would gift to another man, for example. We cracked into this bottle for NYE and it was a very nice alcohol-free alternative to a high quality sparkling wine. It's not overly sweet at all, it has nice bubbles and effervescence. I would say that it is well balanced between the sweet tones that it does have, with a pleasant bitter bite on the finish.
Ordered this for New Years as a non-alcoholic option. As a replacement for a sparkling white wine, it falls a bit short. That said, it would be satisfying to serve as a non-alcoholic option for a celebratory occasion. Some of the non-alcoholic options are horrible. This isn’t the best I've ever had, but it's fine, could be a crowd pleaser for non drinkers.
This bottle arrived quickly, was very pretty, packaged well. However, the contents were less than appealing. The flavor wasn't what I was expecting, more bubbly than anything. Not really sweet or flavorful, which could be what they were trying for, but I was not a fan. If you want to provide a non-alcoholic option for a party, you could try this, but your guests may not come back for the next event..
