Bought this game February 26th, 2025 and it already stopped working!! Very disappointed and so is my son!!

The device itself is fantastic. It's the real deal, manufactured by Anbernic. If you're not familiar with the brand, their build quality is excellent, and most of their devices are either low-powered Linux-based handhelds or mid-powered Android ones meant for retro gaming emulation. This falls into the former category.It's the closest third-party handheld to replicating the build and feel of a good old GBA, but with some modern upgrades, like a backlit display and the ability to play a lot more than just GBA games. These devices can and do require some technical savvy to make the most of their potential, but a lot of resources on YouTube and other sites have cropped up to try to help make it easier for those with less familiarity.That said, I'm knocking a star off of this iteration for one major reason. Anbernic includes Kioxia microSD cards with their devices, which is a Toshiba spinoff company that does have solid quality in their media. Good third-party resellers will keep that card intact. This one did not. It claimed to include a 32+64GB setup - my unit was packaged with two generic, cheap microSD cards, one labeled 32 and one 64 GB. The 64 appears to have that amount of space available, but being a cheap third-party no-name card, I won't trust it as far as I can throw it. The 32 is the same, but reports only having around 17GB of space - so not even the 32 it claimed to include from the start. The promotional images also show plainly that the Kioxia card is included - I would have looked elsewhere had I known that it would not be. That dishonesty and overall shady practice knocks off another star, especially given the increased cost of the unit compared to getting one directly from the manufacturer. (I'd also note that the games included were for systems like the PSX and PSP that require an analog stick in many cases, but that there are no GB, GBA, or N-type games included, which is not only odd, but somewhat useless and shows a lack of care on the reseller's part.)So while I can recommend the device wholeheartedly, I would recommend looking at other listings to find one that includes a reputable microSD card from the start, especially if you're not interested in providing your own and setting it up properly for the device, and wish for something you can just power on and play with from the start. This one will require some additional work - or you'll likely run into a situation like some others and find that the included card(s) are dead a lot sooner than expected and have to do the extra work then. i’ve only messed with it a bit but it feels solid and the game selection is actually pretty good. the screen looks nice and the buttons are responsive. it boots up quick and runs smooth so far. great for playing older games on the go and it even connects to the tv which is a cool bonus. feels like a fun little throwback device to have around.

1000% worth buying with a little caveat. The default OS is pretty bad so if you have the technical know-how to flash Knulli to the SD card it's worthwhile to do that for a much better interface experience. Feels almost identical to the real thing though the dpad is a bit more stiff and the start/select are hard plastic instead of rubber membrane buttons. If you enjoy GBA and don't mind adding bezels for playing SNES on a 3:2 screen it's a solid buy.

as someone who receives an original glacier GBA as a birthday gift as a kid, this handheld holds a special place in my heart. i wouldn't necessarily grab one if you want to do more than GBA as the resolution matches the very specific and unique GBA resolution. functions great though for GBA!for people wondering about games, mine did come with a basic ROM set, but the pack in roms are always hit or miss on these. retro handhelds like these are really more of a hobby of its own rather than a buy it and forget it purchase. they are made to be tweaked and fiddled with, which can be it's own joy as you customize the device to your liking. i immediately replaced the default OS on this with something better. i recommend YouTube channels such as RetroGameCorps or TechDweeb if you're interested in learning more about getting devices like this set up and want to become a hobbyist. if you're a little tech savvy (don't have to be an IT expert, it's simple once you get the basics) definitely get this or a similar device. if you don't feel confident about that, the hobby probably isn't for you.shipping with this seller was fast and everything case as expected just like of you ordered direct from the manufacturer (which i have done with other products).

It's wonderful.Runs games up to PS1 pretty flawlessly.Goldeneye runs but is a little laggy. N64 games are best on other emulator handhelds but for anything under that it's perfect.Your experience will be influenced by your interest in learning the various operating systems out there for this thing. The factory OS is okay but Knulli makes this thing so much better.I'm very happy with the quality of this device. Solid feel. Rigid plastic that doesn't feel cheap, decent screen that's perfect for nes, GBA, SNES, PlayStation and other games.
