The Vivitar 360 Skyview GPS Video Drone offers an exceptional flying experience combined with impressive camera and stabilization technology. Available in an eye-catching orange and black design, this drone is perfect for capturing smooth, high-quality aerial footage. Here's a breakdown of its features:
Decent drone for kids/teens to fly around or practice on that has a 1080p full HD aerial camera that can be controlled with remote control. The drone has 1-button automatic take off/landing with different speed settings that can fly up to 1000ft range. It only comes with 1 rechargeable battery that slides into the drone but it only lasts about 10 minutes of flight time which isn’t so great. The remote control has a cell phone holder that connects to the phone on an app to view what the drone see’s. I would say it’s an ok drone to practice on since the short flying time & the price could be more affordable even given the Vivitar brand.
This is a great budget friendly drone for somebody looking to get into the hobby. It’s very easy to fly and very user-friendly. The camera takes good pictures. It’s very stable and goes very far
well, my first flight and none of my devices can find the drone in the list so no camera footage. sigh. The drone is nice and big and looks cool but mine has a mind of its own. when i first took off to hover, the drone hovered for a minute then i tried to take it a little bit away and and press return to home but it went straight up into the air, i tried to bring it back down but it went higherup and then over my roof and flew away into a tree.it came wih spare props so i installed those and tried again and think the return to home need reprogramming or something. Without the app i have no access to camera footage and i cant use the app if i cant connect to the drone. if i cant experience flying by using the camera on this drone, then my motivation to fly it is gone. And to think i waited until i was fully compliant to take, what i thought would be my favorite drone, into he sky, only to be disappointed. Im scared if i fly it, it will fly away from me and be lost. maybe mine was defective
I won't beat around the bush and will get right to it...I was unaware before ordering that this size/weight drone actually requires an FAA license to fly it. These apparently cost about fifty bucks to acquire, which is almost HALF of the cost of this drone, thus significantly increasing the cost overall. That was enough for me to decide that I won't be flying this. I have only ever owned one other drone, a very small non brand name model that I've actually had a ton of fun with. I was hoping to graduate to a larger model with a better camera but unfortunately it will not be with this one.I apologize for not being able to offer more thoughts on the actual use and features of the drone. If they would have mentioned in the description that you would need to purchase a license to fly this legally I would not have ordered it. Since it was not specifically mentioned, and that is frankly not information that beginning drone operators (who are the target market for this drone) such as myself will know, I feel the 2 star review here is fair. I can't use this without putting out significantly more money and I'm just not willing to do that.
Have to recalibrate every time its used.Camera is fixed, cannot pan up or down.Very basic drone, more for juvenile or beginner.Very short flight time.
This drone is a fantastic choice for both beginners and seasoned drone enthusiasts, offering a great combination of advanced features and user-friendly controls. The orange and black color scheme is not only visually striking but practical, as it ensures the drone is highly visible during flight. This makes it easier to track the drone in the sky, especially at higher altitudes or in wide-open spaces. This drone has a quality body and overall it helps wirh maneuvering and dealing with the uncontrollable things. So when it's colder/warmer temperatures and of course the wind this strong build lessens the effects of those things. This drone comes with one battery that lasts for 12-16 minutes depending on both how it's flown and the conditions it's flown in too. One of the standout features of this drone is its built-in 360-degree camera. Whether you're capturing scenic landscapes or shooting dynamic action shots, the panoramic view allows you to record stunning, immersive footage from every angle. The GPS stabilization system helps the drone maintain a steady position, which is essential for smooth footage. Even in breezy conditions, the drone remains stable, ensuring your shots are precise and fluid. This makes it an excellent choice for videography and photography. The high-definition video and image quality are excellent for a drone at this price point. Whether you're shooting for fun or looking to capture professional-grade footage, the crisp and clear visuals make for a fantastic experience. The controls are intuitive and easy to pick up, even if you're new to drone flying. With simple navigation and responsive flight features, this drone minimizes the learning curve, so you can focus more on capturing great footage and less on mastering complex controls. In my experience Vivitar has made some great products and this drone is just another example. I hope and look forward to purchasing more Vivitar products because their always excellent quality and enjoyable too Easy 5☆☆☆☆☆!
This drone is an excellent introduction to flying them. Easy to unpack, easy to follow good directions and easy to control. We gave it to our 9 year old granddaughter and she had it circling the neighborhood within an hour. Good picture quality too.She says now her favorite toy. Her parents say they’d prefer she does her homework. Parents, be warned.
This is a pretty cool drone, its big and the 360 camera is a great feature, the problem is that since the camera quality is so bad it's basically useless, and the drone is not stable either
