Way too cute!! This thing is absolutely adorable-the colors are vivid and bright, the shape is adorable and the whale pattern details are fabulous.It comes with a protective film on the screen to keep it pristine until opened, and it is bright and easy to read. I’m so glad they chose to use LED for the display as it makes it much easier to read.The temps it shows have been accurate as far as our thermostat is concerned, I don’t have a thermometer that can go in water to compare its function when wet but dry air temps look right.I haven’t charged it yet but really like the magnetic snap on charger style it uses. It lasts much longer than other kinds in my experience so hopefully it does for this one too.To turn it on you just press the “on “ button on the back; pretty easy! To change it to Celsius you hold down the set button until the F symbol flashes, and then push “on” to change it to C, then push set again to exit setup. You can also adjust the set point for the alarm.It works well and is pretty straightforward to use; and the different color of the lights is very handy.

I have the dreambaby ducky which I got about 3 years ago before my daughter was born. I like the ducky, the screen is black and white and seemed to be accurate. I always had to smash it against the tub though when it wouldn’t turn on, plus it would flip over when the water from the faucet hit it. The whale shark is great because when the water hits it, it doesn’t flip over constantly. It shows near the same exact temperature as our dreambaby ducky so i’m assuming it’s legitimate when it comes to that. My gripe is that, although I like the light up color screen, it’s hard to read on an angle. It’s bright enough but I have to keep taking it out of the water to see the temp. I like that it lights up red if too hot or blue if too cold BUT my kid likes her baths warmer (a little over 100 degrees) and since it turns red over 100 I have to constantly pick it up to check it to make sure it’s not too hot. Other than that it’s a cute product.

Ironically, I like everything about this thermometer except that the reading seems consistently inaccurate. First, it is adorable and well-made. Any baby is sure to love it. (When I ordered, I momentarily forgot that my "baby" is five. As predicted, he loves it, too.) Second, it couldn't be easier to charge with the included USB cable. When the battery is full, a light changes from red to green. Third, the LED display is super easy to read. Check out my photo. But the room temperature shown runs about four degrees higher than my home thermostat, which I believe to be correct. We've also tried out this whale shark in bath water, which reasonably is much higher. I have no way of knowing if those readings are right or wrong. As a toy, this little thing gets an A+. However, I would not depend on it for the temperature.

I got this rechargeable bath thermometer for baby baths. It’s a lot flatter than I anticipated. I feel like bath water thermometers aren’t really necessary. I can feel the water just fine with my hand. So I was really treating this more like a bath toy which it’s also advertised as.It isn’t really as toy like as I thought. It’s very flat and smaller than my hand.As far as functionality goes, it does work as advertised. The recharging aspect of it is nice so I don’t have to worry about batteries. It does also seem to read the temperature accurately.If you’re looking for something equally toy and thermometer, this might not the quite what you should look for.Pro-solid material-does read temperature-rechargeableCon-not very toy like-small

I bought this to monitor my dog's bath water temperature. It works perfectly. Measures in both Fahrenheit and Celsius accurately. And, I LOVE that it's rechargeable. Great product!
