08-03-2026Much better than expected. This Matte Box is a game changer. I'll never go back to screw on filter systems again., not to mention the reactions I got from people who were walking by. One woman actually asked for my business card, lol. Assembly was easier than I thought it would be. The construction of the material feels solid. The ND filters are extremely well made. I highly recommend this product!

08-03-2026Even though it's the cheapest matte box out there, it's has good build quality and compares to the small rig alternative. The filter rings will fit most general lenses as well so it's convenient. Also makes your camera look 10x more professional, very good for impressing clients even with the most simplest rig setups.

The carbon fiber top flag does an excellent job blocking stray light and glare, which has noticeably improved my outdoor shots. The matte box is designed to hold two standard 4×5.65″ filters, which is great for stacking ND and diffusion filters.The only drawback is that it comes with one filter holder, even though it supports two.
