Terrible mic. Super cheaply made and designed - audio that comes out of the speaker comes out like 1 millisecond after you speak into it, very laggy and annoying. Returning immediately. It may be loud, but what’s the point if it can’t even do the job correctly
Better than I expected!
Fun toy, but not super functional for what I needed, which is just to be heard without carrying around a speaker. It's just got too many effects without enough focus on sound quality, fidelity of transmission is what matters when you're trying to speak to a crowd. As a gift for a kid, a tad pricey, but I bet they'd love it.
This microphone is okay. I thought this would be fun for karaoke. I'm having a hard time figuring out the different options. The instructions aren't great and the settings reset when you turn it off, which is annoying. The sound is loud, and it squeals and echos. I haven't tried them with headphones. I saw someone mentioned headphones made a difference, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having a microphone with a speaker. I haven't paired it with a speaker, nor have I tried the provided cords. I honestly got frustrated with trying to figure it out and haven't messed with it since. The actual microphone is solid and seems well built. It's heavy. The case is great. I didn't expect that. It's a hard case that will keep the microphone well protected. I will eventually tinker with it again. I was just surprised it didn't have a better sound and that it wasn't easier to use at that price point.
The microphone is very useful. Once you find the accompaniment on the computer, you can sing along to the lyrics. There are also different modes. The volume of the accompaniment can be adjusted on the computer, and the vocals can be adjusted in the microphone. I took it to a friend's house and everyone liked it very much.
This wireless karaoke microphone’s a neat pick—high-end acoustic quality and surround sound make my vocals pop, way better than run-of-the-mill mics. The dynamic pickup’s solid, catching every note without crackling or cutting out, and the built-in speaker’s loud enough to fill a room for impromptu sing-alongs. Bluetooth connects quick, no fuss, and the soundcard adds some slick effects to play with—kind of a fun vibe. It’s comfy to hold, not too heavy, and the battery’s kept up through a few long sessions. Only small catch is the controls can be a bit finicky—takes a sec to nail the settings, especially the effects. For the price, it’s a great grab that’s made karaoke nights a blast!Rating: ☆ (4 stars—sings sharp with a small tweak!)
When I first started using this, any sustained singing or speaking provoked a squeal that sounded like an electric police whistle, soft at first and louder as a note went on. (The boss said I sounded like some sort of Star Wars creature speaking into it.) I tried various locations and different settings with the same result. Looking in the minimal manual for ideas what to do, it suggested feedback could be caused by environmental noise (nope) interference (tried different places) or THE MICROPHONE BEING TOO CLOSE TO THE SPEAKER, which is kind of how it's built. So, I tried it with headphones plugged in, and that sounded a LOT better. When I unplugged the headphones, and tried the built-in speakers again, and the squeal seemed to be a bit reduced. Weird. So, if you're having interference problems, try plugging in and unplugging headphones and see if it changes. Powering down the mike and restarting it put it right back into squealy mode. With that out of the way, the music playing over the speakers USUALLY sounded great. If it was a bluetooth speaker on its own, I'd be pretty impressed at the volume and sound for its size. I had no problem pairing it with my MP3 player. (Though if you use it as a speaker, you will have to adjust the volume at its source: the volume controls are for the mike, and there seems to be no way to adjust the background recording volume.)I say it usually sounded great: on occasion, it randomly made an odd noise. I can only describe it as a sound effect you would expect to hear in a cartoon as a race car whizzed by. Or if a huge cat with a musical purr whizzed by with a Doppler effect. It seems to occur more often when the music volume is high, or there is a sudden crescendo of music. Not too disturbing. The whole device feels sturdy and well-built, and comes in a hardshell case with a variety of cables. I have not tested the battery life, charging time, USB C or TF card capabilities. In any case, it is an interesting and ambitious concept, and has a lot of cool features, even if it doesn't quite fulfill its own ambitions.
