08-03-2026Seems to be accurate. Haven't had any concerns with it yet. It does contain a button battery so I would keep it out of reach for any infant or child. I like that it lights up for nighttime use. The only thing I would change about it is the tone it makes when taking a temperature is fairly loud. My child doesn't seem to mind though, but I do try to cover it with my hand best I can.

08-03-2026Does what it says it does. Includes instructions set in type sizes that are readable even if you have a fever (still have to work at it). Probe cover instructions still blithering, but oh, well. Precise, accurate. Display is readable and color coded helpfully. Instructions are easy to follow, and though it (conservatively) predicts eight seconds for oral use, it's faster, in my experience. Compared to a $10 drugstore cheapy, its worth the $7 price increase for quickness and easiness of use alone (that's really important if you're burning up and head is pounding).
