I really love these! They taste even better than I'd hoped..sweet and just a little bit tart. They are so addictive that I may have to hide them from myself! Great texture...sort of like thick fruit leather. The edible rice paper wrapper is cool, too! I will for sure be buying more of these!
I tried these as a treat when teaching kids about other cultures. How do I describe these little moist fruity things? They are really, really sweet. In fact, while the kids like them they taste just like sweet to me without other flavor. They aren't overly sticky to my surprise, but they are more like dried fruit, just very sweet. I do taste some tartness but other than that it's sugar to me.
This jujube cake candy is soft and chewy that has a fruity taste - sweet with a hint of tartness. Its flavor profile reminds me of haw flakes with the texture of jelly candy. The bucket is convenient for sharing and each piece is individually wrapped.
The gummies comes individually wrapped and place into a plastic cup like container with a lid. Gummies are small square pieces wrapped in rice paper to keep it from sticking to its wrapper, has very little to no scent. Taste is very mild with a light sweet and sour fruit like flavor, it did not taste like Jujube's to me. Texture is very strange its not soft and chewy like western gummies but more hard and snappy, similar to a stale gummy.
I was curious what Jujube tasted like so I decided to try these. To me, they taste kind of like apple and peach together. Definitely sweet, not sour at all. For having 32g of sugar per serving, they don't taste that sweet but it also doesn't tell you how many pieces are in a serving and 230 calories seems quite high. I counted the pieces in the tub and there were 52 and it says about 7 servings per container so my guess is 7 pieces would be a serving. They come wrapped in an edible rice paper which I didn't know at first and tried to peel it off. That was a pain, then I read the ingredients and saw it was rice paper and ate the next one with it. It is tasteless and if you suck on it it takes a bit for it to dissolve and if you chomp down it makes a little crunch. The texture of the candy is like the jelly fruit bars I eat and is soft and doesn't stick to your teeth. Although I like the flavor of these very much, the sugar content seems quite high. I will enjoy these sparingly but wouldn't get them again.
These jujube candies are new to me. They are unlike any American candy I've had. They are not quite sweet and they are not exactly chewy by American standards. They don't exactly taste like jujubes either. I think I taste a hint of apples. Another family member said plumb and another had no idea. The texture is like a hard stale gummy. I wouldn't say chewy. But the thing is it's not bad. If you want a little sweetness and your teeth can handle them, it's not bad at all.The weather got warmer and the candy got softer, a family member can't stop eating them, so I'm giving them a 5.
Prop 65 is almost meaningless at this point since it can mean like 1000+ different things. Sometimes it's just assumed because of a lack of a specific test or etc. It's not even a guarantee what they are claiming anymore. That said, these taste amazing. Each one is in an individual wrapper. Inside the candy itself is wrapped in rice paper that you eat. Firm, but doesn't stick to your teeth. Citrus, but not overwhelming or sour. Just a pleasant sweet, pleasant tart, and very bold citrus flavor.I quite like these and will order them again. There are quite a few in the little bucket as well.
These are little gummy bricks. Quite chewy, but not as tough as fruit leather. The bricks have a wrapping of rice paper so they don't stick. It dissolves quickly, but gives it an unusual smooth texture at first.Taste is a little like concentrated apple, a little tart. I didn't find it sour really. The packets have a date code which seems to be manufacture date. I got mine about 3.5 months after that date. There is a prop65 warning on the container that mentions lead and cadmium.
