I bought it with 50% discount and was super happy about the price and quality. I’ve used Japanese diapers with my firstborn and these ones are exactly the quality I was looking for. Way softer than any popular American brands. Good absorption, no leaks. No diaper rush.
One of the first things I noticed was how incredibly lightweight these diapers are. They don’t feel bulky at all, which is great for keeping my baby comfortable during both playtime and naps. The breathable material keeps things airy, helping to prevent rashes and irritation.
I was honestly impressed by how thin these diapers feel without sacrificing absorbency. My baby stays dry through naps and even overnight without leaks. The material is soft against sensitive skin and has never caused redness or irritation, which is a huge relief compared to other brands we have tried. The fit is snug but flexible, so no sagging or gaps, and the wetness indicator is very helpful. These feel durable yet breathable, great for both daytime play and nighttime sleep.
My first impressions of this diaper. The sizing is right, pretty accurate to a size 2 diaper in the states. The outside is extremely soft, it feels really nice. However, the tab to close the diaper is not super strong so I’m the diaper might get loose. It’s ok with a small baby but it would definitely not be fun if you have a toddler, cause I barely pulled and the tab came off. So you probably want to wear pants or an onesie with this diaper. I tested to see how much liquid it would hold and this diaper holds (at least) 500ml of liquid. As I was pouring, I was testing to see if it would have a dry touch, which thankfully did. So the diaper absorbed liquids pretty fast and then it had a dry touch to it after it has absorbed. It has a line that indicates if it’s wet or not and that worked well too. The elastic around the legs seems to be pretty elastic and comfortable. I would normally not order a foreign brand diaper, but since this is from Japan I felt more confident in using this for my baby because usually Japanese people focus on quality.
I’ve been using the MANEKI Baby Diapers for my 13 lb baby, and size 2 fits her well. The diapers are fragrance-free, which is great for her sensitive skin, and the fabric is soft enough for daily use — similar to Huggies in feel.Even though the diapers are thin, they hold a significant amount of pee, so I’ve been able to use them overnight without leaks. I also like the wetness indicator; it makes it easy to tell when the diaper is wet without having to check manually. The waist is a bit smaller than Parasol diapers, so they fit snugly around my baby’s midsection. The thin design makes them comfortable, and the absorbency is sufficient for naps and overnight use.
I originally ordered diaper pants for my toddler and was impressed by the feel of it and the amount that they can hold. Then I decided to give a try for my new born. Was so impressed with the diapers. Despite other reviews, I can say that I never had any issue with the side tapes. We used them about 3 month now. The opposite, I really like how soft edges are. They don’t leave any marks on my baby’s belly, like the other ones. And OMG they truly hold. Sorry for the graphics (it is gross a little bit) but I wanted to share with other parents how much they can hold!
I’m seriously in love with these diapers! Look how thin and soft all the details are!!! No rubbing, nothing pressing on the baby—super comfy on delicate skin. Ultra-thin and breathable, and the absorbency is still amazing! The material is just incredibly soft. Totally obsessed! Also, huge shoutout to their Customer Service!!! It really shows that the creators genuinely care about their product and treat their customers with love, respect, and attention
So far it works well. I have not had a blow out. I haven't seen a diaper rash or anything from it. I would say that a Size 2 in Japan is in-between a size 1 and 2 in the US. I feel like the diaper is thinner than Pampers. For example it was like a "thin" version of a maxipad if Pampers was the regular maxi pad. My nephew seemed pretty comfortable in it.
