I got my cholesterol back and its back in a good place so sadly I can't eat too many of these but they're super addictive. I have some in the freezer still.

At first, I wondered if I'd ever get this item. It's status was "ordered" until I got a shipping status that included these! Yay! Status still showed "ordered" but I got them. Then I tried one and was rather disappointed because I thought they might contain a bit of crunch from the wafers that are included in the Nutty Bars, but no they have no wafers. They ARE tasty and the cake is very soft.

I was shipped a stale box of Nutty Buddy cakes. They expire 10/31/2025 and they taste HORRIBLE as if they were left in a warehouse for a long period of time. Disgusting. ‍♀️

Not great. I love peanut butter and nutty buddy’s, but this was ordinary at best. I guess it’s ok for a sugar fix, but I would never purchase again.

I saw a post for these on social media, unfortunately they don't have them in my area. Amazon to the rescue! They arrived on time and in perfect condition. I'd include a picture but I was overcome with excitement and dived right in I am a fan of the original Nutty Buddy, these cakes are delicious I will admit that I wasn't expecting too much, in my opinion the cake portion of these snacks are dry. I was pleasantly surprised as these are moist and the peanut butter, get in my mouth!!! If you're on the fence about trying them, jump off, they are worth it!!

Not bad. Like a small Swiss cake roll. Filling is a little lacking in peanut butter taste. Still prefer the original nutty buddy by little debbie

Who We Are

A family bakery bringing you delicious quality products for over 60 years.

The McKee story began during the height of the Great Depression when young entrepreneur O.D. McKee began selling 5¢ snack cakes from the back of his 1928 Whippet. In 1934, he and his wife, Ruth, bought a small, failing bakery, using the family car as collateral. Money was so tight they had to put up a sheet near the back of the bakery for the family's living quarters.

Despite years of great adversity, O.D. and Ruth's rare determination finally began to pay off in 1960 when they began selling the first family pack of baked goods, naming them after their granddaughter, Debbie. Around this time, the company finally began making a steady profit.

The bakery continued to grow but remained a family bakery. O.D. and Ruth’s sons, Ellsworth and Jack, eventually took leadership positions, and today Ellsworth and Jack's children hold leadership roles.

McKee Foods stands as a living legacy of a young couple with a big dream. O.D. and Ruth shared a strong commitment to family values that remains our company's foundation today.

Brand History

In 1960, McKee Foods founder O.D. McKee was trying to come up with a catchy name for their new family-pack cartons of snack cakes. Thinking of what could be a good fit for the brand, O.D. arrived at the name of his 4-year-old granddaughter Debbie. Inspired by a photo of Debbie in play clothes and her favorite straw hat, he decided to use the name Little Debbie and the image of her on the logo. Not until the first cartons were being printed did Debbie's parents, Ellsworth and Sharon McKee, discover that their daughter was the namesake of the new brand.
