I bought this file cart so I could access my recipes easily. The frame was easy to assemble, but I had trouble assembling one of the metal file baskets. Each side/corner of the basket has to be screwed together. But not with a screw and a nut. You put each screw into a bracket and screw them in behind a metal bar. The bar is what keeps the corners/sides closed. But one of the brackets on mine wasn’t angled properly and the screw wouldn't go behind the bar. I was able to slightly bend it out with the back of a hammer and then it fit behind the bar. Also, you're going to need a small Phillip's head screw driver. See videos for details.I am very disappointed that one of the baskets doesn’t slide in and out smoothly. I have to tug and pull to get it out. The bottom basket slides out easily so I tried to switch it with the top one but I had already used the thin screw that keeps the baskets from falling out. Once you screw that thin screw in, it's impossible to get it back out. Don't screw in any of the screws very tightly just in case you need to adjust things. One last very important note: Make sure you put heavier things in the bottom basket or the cart will tip over. When mine fell over, it almost fell on my foot. It's heavy, so it might have broken one of my toes. I would ship this thing back but I have already assembled it and there's no way to take it apart. I do not recommend buying this cart.
Easy to set up. Two drawers can hold a large amount of files. Compact enough to tuck under a desk, yet tall enough to maximize vertical storage. The wheels glide smoothly across hardwood and carpet, making it easy to reposition the cart wherever I need it.
This product only gets 3 stars because the quality could be much better. Not a sturdy as i expected. It's a bit wobbly when loaded with files. But it serves is purpose so we kept it.
I put it in my study for storage. It is very convenient. I put the printer on top and the documents and printing paper on the bottom. Good quality and easy to assemble
This file cart was exactly the size I wanted. All parts were there. The file drawers are junk. The screws do not hold them together because they don’t really screw into anything and I have not used it yet. Way too much money
I do not recommend buying this “rolling” file cabinet, if quality matters to you. After assembling and filling up the cabinet, I realized it has zero stability - or ability to hold more than 20 empty file folders per drawer.I highly regret the:- sturdiness- investment- value for the money- extended time spent assembling- pathetic performance (now outside of my return window)- Non-rolling (after you put your files in)- Tipping over (with files inside)I’m left wondering where the true reviews are for this file cabinet? I always read Amazon reviews before purchasing an item, and can’t be the first to report the many flaws? There are MUCH better rolling file cabinets on Amazon, or Staples. I know, because I have one! They may cost a few dollars more, but the time, return process, lengthy assembly and frustration is FAR worth having an actual working product. If you want to spend 1-3 hours assembling a poorly designed, expensive, and non-functional file cart, then this is for you.
It was easy to assemble. The instructions were clear and all parts and tools were included except for a screwdriver, which everyone should have. It was sturdy and easy to wheel around. The file baskets were large, well made and sturdy. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is because when the drawers are fully loaded with files, they do not slide open and closed easily, but it is still a usefull and well made product.
Small. Light weight use. Fits under a desk nicely. With room left over for moving your legs around. Not for heavy duty files. Great for household use. Goes together easily. Use a little parafin on the slides.
