I originally ordered these for my husband, who’s a total Old Fashioned snob and extremely picky about how they’re made. He tried one drink using these cherries and immediately told me to order more to keep on hand. I can’t speak to how they taste in an Old Fashioned (I can’t stand whiskey or bourbon), but I did try one straight from the jar and wow. They’re sweet, rich, and bursting with cherry flavor. I was a little nervous about the “bourbon infused” part, but I barely noticed the bourbon compared to the amazing cherry taste. I’d love to use them on ice cream sundaes, but my husband refuses to share!

I had purchased these cherries as I needed something extra for my bourbon or whiskey drinks. And I’m so glad that I have gotten to try these!I am really surprised how good and rich the taste is. The cherries are sweet, but also have some depth to them, making them perfect for cocktails.I use them with some of my drinks and it really makes them feel more special. The syrup is also good for adding a little bit sweetness to the drink.Although, the quality of these cherries is much better than I usually find at the store. You do get quite a small amount for the price. Because of this, I can see myself going through these pretty quickly.Besides the amount of these cherries that you get. I would definitely recommend this item as it makes drinks at home, feel a little bit more fancy!

This was a tough review to write. I started out by making an Old Fashioned, because these are cocktail cherries after all. So I sat down had my cocktail and a cigar, paying attention to the flavor of these cherries. They were delightful, 5 stars! I thought. So I got around to writing my review and I read the item description again. "Adds depth and complexity to your favorite drinks" it says. Well, I only considered the flavor - not the depth or complexity; time to make another cocktail. Okay, yes, depth and complexity - definitely checks out, still 5 stars. Back to the review..."Maintain their natural texture" it says. I really need to pay more attention to this item description! Better make another cocktail. Texture good, still 5 stars. Back to the review, read the description again. ... I'm actually not sure how long this went on for, but this point I'm certain these are the finest cocktail cherries ever produced...These really are good cocktail cherries. These are sweet, not candy sweet like the fluorescent red ones that you would find on an ice cream sundae, but sweeter than the super expensive Italian ones. The syrup has a nice richness to it but I don't necessarily get bourbon out of it. I usually use a bit of the syrup in my Old Fashioneds instead of mixing up simple syrup, works great, try it sometime. I really liked the sweetness on these because, honestly, even those fluorescent ones are kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. So I liked these better than the tart ones that the real fancy bartenders sometimes use. And they did hold up in the drink, not that I was really concerned about that. They're all going down whether they hold up or not. All in all, really happy that I got these.

I'm in love with these US-made bourbon-infused cherries. I recently got a cocktail smoker and an alcohol infuser so I'll be having all sorts of fun mixing, infusing and smoking cocktails. Having these yummy cherries to add to some of them makes it even better. I ate the first one straight out of the jar, and somehow resisted the temptation to keep eating more. Then I made a small whiskey drink with a cherry along with some lime and vanilla, and other than the too-bitter lime it was a success. Note that these should be refrigerated after opening, I didn't realize that right away.According to the label each cherry contains about 3g of sugar. I'd enjoy them even with half the sugar but I may be in the minority. I could also live without the inclusion of the ambiguous "natural flavors" but since I won't be consuming mass quantities of these I'll manage. Here's the full ingredient list:CherriesSugarWaterFruit and vegetable concentrates (color)Citric acidOld Forester bourbonNatural flavorsI'm glad I got these cherries and recommend them for your alcoholic beverages and for desserts. (I'll be topping some flan and pecan cream pie with them for the next holiday!)

These cocktail cherries have a much nicer, deeper flavor and the usual bright red sugary cherries. The flavor is rich and actually have a cherry flavor. I don't really taste a lot of bourbon flavor, but these are far above regular cocktail cherries. The cherries in my bottle were a good size and the syrup is good to add a bit of flavor to drinks as well. The jar is standard size for cocktail cherries but the price is quite a bit higher. I would say if you really enjoy a sophisticated drink or possibly for a cocktail party these are worth it...for adding to drinks daily or for cheaper mixed drinks these are probably a bit on the pricey side.

I admit, I don't even drink cocktails I just love these cherries because they are SO tasty! The glass container arrived well wrapped in bubble wrap inside of another package. There were no leakage or issues with the seal. When you open the jar the cherries are a rich deep red color with a thick, glossy syrup. The cherry texture is smooth and easy to bite into, like a maraschino cherry but smoother and not just a sweet bite. These ARE sweet though, a little goes a long way (which is good for the price)! I added 2 and a little bit of the syrup into some lemonade and it really added to the flavor! The jar is a thick glass that feels well made and isn't going to break easily. I'm really pleased with these cherries!
