08-03-2026I do a lot of drawing with colored pencils, and I go through the white and black ones considerably faster than the other colors. I prefer oil based colored pencils, so I hoped these would work well with the ones I already have. I just got these, so I gave them a try. I like the black one. The pigment has good intensity, and it is pretty easy to get a nice saturation, but it also is easy to make more grey tones by using less pressure. The white is not as intense. Most white colored pencils are not very opaque, but this one seems even wimpier than average. I also found that if I use much pressure when applying color with either of these, I get crumbs appearing all over the paper. Crumbs are a problem because they are loose bits of color that can end up where you do not want them, and if they get rubbed, they can make stray marks. Even if you brush them off, if they get on surfaces or your clothing, they can create stains.

08-03-2026There is a lot of stuff in this kit! It has everything you need (besides talent) to draw wonderful pencil sketches. There are many different thicknesses of pencils included in this kit. It also has several white blending pencils, blending stubs, a ruler, pencil sharpener, pencil, extender, gum eraser, regular eraser, and a pencil sharpener. It also has charcoal pencils. It’s a good value for your money, especially if you are just starting out drawing and want to discover different types of pencils. I like that it comes in a zippered case to keep everything neat. I reach for this when I want to sketch out my idea for my art pieces.

08-03-2026Cute case fits all materials perfectly. Easy use and put away. The whole set is good quality. Its Definitely worth the money. My daughter is taking an art class, and this set included several of the items we would have needed to buy (Totalling over $30) so I'd say it's definitely worth the price. The zipper is good-quality, and she loves the set. It slips into her things very well. My older daughter has been in several art classes and checked the quallity of the pencils and other items and said it was as good as much more expensive pieces.
