I've been waiting for a full frame panasonic camera that can shoot internal raw video since red lost that ridiculous patent and it's finally here. With the arri clog upgrade you can confidently shoot non raw and get great results. I was a little disappointed with the U.I. because there are way too many confusing choices in fps, codec and sensor size but once you understand them and set your custom modes up for both video and photo this camera is really easy to use. I almost took off a star because the arri clog is a paid upgrade but I actually think it's a fair compromise because gives the user the choice to pay for a feature they will use or not pay for something they won't use. I'm curious to see what the s1h mark ii with have that this camera does not, internal nd and 120 fps internal raw are the two things I would be willing to pay extra money for. Even without those this options this camera is better any other mirrorless camera at this price range and any and every mirrorless camera that does not have internal raw video recording

Not even a month, and it's already in the repair Lumix service. The camera is great, the picture quality is outstanding, the video is out of this world. I just wish I had ordered it from a local camera store.

Incredible! Autofocus is just as good as Sony finally! One tip about overheating... If you shoot in the highest settings for over 20 min in high heat do not use a CFexpress card. Instead use an approved SSD with the USB c plug. Also get the Panasonic dummy battery and vmount battery. If you do that you won't have to ever worry about overheating. I highly recommend this camera. It's way better then the s5 ii (I have both). It's worth the extra money in my opinion.32 bit float audio with the new XLR 2 adapter too! What more could you ask for in a small body like this and see this low price point (cheaper then an FX3 and better).

Always the background is brighter especially when I take a video inside the car.I don't have the same issue when I use my Nikon and Sony camera.Same setting.. but with the Panasonic camera on my face is always very dark

Very impressive all around camera. If you’re looking for a run and gun and full frame hybrid, difficult to beat with either the LUMIX S 24-60 f2.8 or Sigma 28-70 F2.8, but I think the cropless e-stabilization only works with the wider end of the LUMIX lens. IBIS is exceptional, no other options I tried have been remotely close.Pretty noticeable rolling shutter with DR boost on, but dynamic range is solid even when turned off.S5ii cages don’t fit, grip is a little different. Liked the colors straight out of camera of the S5ii a bit more.Definitely more prone to overheating than the S5ii in some settings, CF Express Type B seems to be the culprit. Would highly recommend recording to SD/SSD whenever possible if going above 60 fps or 5.7k.

Flip tilt Screen, amazing autofocus, 6k open gate, 60 fps full frame, cine scope mode to match anamorphic, ARRI Log and Vlog, multiple frame option monitoring, internal raw recording with CF Express type B card, option to shoot to an SSD. A 24mp sensor that you can shoot 96mp image on still subjects. It’s everything I ever wanted and more.I’d would say the only thing it has a bit of a blind spot is the autofocus takes a hit in 4k 120p still works just not as sticky and if you are gonna shoot beyond 4k it can be very power hungry which is understandable, shooting beyond 4k or raw I would say get a battery grip or just rig external power at that point.I’ve shot Canon, Sony and Fuji and this camera is so much easier to use just with the way it’s laid out without sacrificing features. For the money and even beyond you cannot beat this camera.

High-Speed Readout for Stunning Dynamic Range

Your Full Creative Toolkit, Built In

Discover the Art of Speed

The S1II is packed with advanced, creator-friendly photo and video features. The newly developed partially stacked 24.1MP Partially Stacked Sensor with high-speed readout supports Open Gate 5.1K 60P (3:2) and 6K 30P (3:2) recording, C4K/4K 120p high frame rate video, and high resolution / low noise oversampled 4K video.

⠀ ⠀

This is also the first in the LUMIX S Series to feature Dynamic Range Boost, delivering 15 stops of dynamic range and smoother gradations for more expressive video.

From casual use to pro production, the S1II supports a wide range of apps and software: LUMIX Lab for editing and uploading, LUMIX Flow for streamlined video creation, Frame.io Camera to Cloud for easy sharing and collaboration in real time, and Capture One tethering for pro photography.

Driven by world-renowned Japanese technology and a spirit of never-ending innovation, LUMIX cameras inspire creators to tell their stories beautifully and vividly, with features such as advanced autofocus, Real Time LUT, and class-leading stabilization delivering pro-quality images and an elevated user experience in any format.

Capture fast-moving scenes like sports, wildlife, or vehicles with AFC burst shooting up to 70 fps—the fastest in the S Series—using the electronic shutter’s SH Burst or SH Pre-Burst modes. The viewfinder and monitor stay blackout-free for confident framing.

Phase Hybrid AF and Advanced AI technology takes S1II autofocus to the next level, focusing on eyes and faces even when they're tilted or partially obscured. Urban Sports recognition maintains precise focus even in dynamic performance scenes. Motorcycle mode has evolved into Motorcycle/Bike mode.

Enjoy 8.0-stop 5-axis I.S. Technology with Active I.S. for steady framing for both photos and videos, even when shooting handheld. When recording video, it reduces the significant shake and perspective distortion that often come with walking shots. There's also a cropless mode that works well for wide-angle shots.

High Resolution mode offers 96MP-equivalent images, even when shooting handheld, for exceptional detail.
