I saw this drone on Amazon and what caught my attention was the built in monitor on the controller. With a built in monitor, you get FPV (a view from the drone wherever you point the lens) without having to hook up your Android or iPhone to see the video. Another advantage, all the controls and buttons are on the transmitter so you are not distracted by a phone’s touch screen. The built in monitor tells you when you acquire the GPS signal which is necessary for automatic Return to Home. The screen displays what the drone sees and reports how much battery you have. You get a good value for the price which includes:automatic take off, automatic return to home, automatic landing, follow me and setting up a circuit (by way points) for the drone to fly. The controller has rocker dials for fast and slow speed, and lens up or down. The buttons activate video or still pictures, motors on and off, auto take off, auto land, headless mode and orbit flight. The WF33 includes 2 decent batteries, 8 spare propellers, a mini screwdriver for changing the props, a charging cord an smc memory card for recording video and pics, Quick Start instructions plus a detailed instruction book, and a padded zipper case for the drone, batteries spare props and controller. The drone has plenty of power and depending on how you fly, the battery charge lasts 15-25 minutes. The still photos are quite good while the videos are decent but not 4K. I found that the drone has a stable hover for video but the lens has two positions and no in between adjustment. While filming in a hover, you can slowly rotate the done with the left stick or put it into Orbital Flight which automatically flies the drone in a circular pattern for panoramic video. Another great feature is, it has low battery return to home so if your battery gets low, your controller will beep and the drone will fly back to where it started (only if you setup GPS initially) and GPS is active. When it flies back to where it started, it will hover 98 feet above the ground and then you can bring it down with the sticks. Another great safety feature is the drone will go into automatic Return to Home function if it loses the controller signal for 6 seconds. My flying experience was good and all the functions and features worked. Because it has a tendency for its nose to buck when you accelerate, portions of your videos will be jerky. In a hover though, the videos are stable. In conclusion, I would say that WF33 is well worth the price, has many automatic features yet you can fly it manually when you are confident and familiar with flying it. This drone is best for recreational flying and with the built in monitor the FPV experience is very nice. A few improvements that would make the WF33 competitive against $600 drones would be a continuous up/down smooth lens control, a true 4K lens and cushioned lens shock absorbers so the video has more stability during acceleration.
Better than any expensive model, fast ,quiet, impressive
This drone really impressed me. For the price, it delivers a solid package: a 4K camera, GPS, brushless motors, and even a controller with a built-in 4.5" LCD screen, so you don’t have to rely on a phone. It’s easy to fly, stable in the air, and the Return Home function works well. The 5G transmission is smooth, and the included 8GB card is a nice bonus. Flight time is decent, and the folding design makes it super portable.Overall, a great beginner-friendly drone that performs much better than expected.
I have to preface this review with the fact that I was only able to fly the drone. One time before the controller screen was damaged making it nearly impossible to use further. I do have high remarks for the customer service as they were very responsive and are working on replacement options for me.Set up was fairly simple, but it did take a couple attempts to get the controller to pair with the drone. Once connected, controls are very easy to use, including a takeoff and landing button. The controls for the drone were mostly responsive in moving forwards, backwards, left, and right. The descent, however, is very slow, whether auto landing or trying to bring it down manually. The image quality on the screen was very good. I’ve had a couple drones that paired with a cell phone, and the image quality was just not as good as this one. I was quite impressed actually.Overall, given the customer service and quality of the images on the screen, I’m very pleased with this drone. I am hopeful that I will have replacement parts soon and can continue to use it. It seems like it will be worth the effort.
Pretty good little drone to play around with. First drone I've owned and it's pretty simple and easy to fly. Flight times aren't as long as advertised and signal distance isn't as far as advertised. Couple times video froze and I thought it was lost, but gps return home bright it right back. Don't fly long distance without first calibrating and activating gps or it might be gone.
Decent drone. Easy to set up. Only down side is no way to zoom camera. You have to decent to lower closer to object to capture photo or video. If had zoom feature on camera and if had 3 batteries like my other one came with would be a 5 star
Wrost service ever, and the insurance warranty for what? Doesn't cover anything ams takes for ever try to file a claim. Don't waste your time in this garbage product.
This is a great drone. I’m new at flying drones but this drones makes flying so much fun.
