These double-sided fabric tapes perform as advertised. They’re handy for hemming a pair of trousers and incredibly easy to use: simply press onto the fabric and peel off the backing. No ironing or sewing is required. You no longer need a needle and thread; just apply the tape and save yourself the effort. I’m not certain how long it will last or how many washes it can withstand. It may not be a permanent solution for fixing a hem, but in an emergency, this tape feels strong enough to hold and do the job for a while. It’s a convenient option when you need a quick fix. The adhesive is also sufficiently strong for other uses beyond fabric. At just under £7, it’s a budget-friendly solution that’s hard to fault.
The tape gives a strong bond to most surfaces. As stated can be suitable for both crafting and clothing, the latter being timely on new school clothes for growing children.A twin pack should keep me going for a while.
Perfect, work really well.
I know this product is for use with fabric (such as hemming), and I'm sure it will work great for those applications. But I can think of many other uses, such as situations where's I'd use normal cellophane double-sided tape but need a more secure bond. For example, I used this tape to hang a laminated chart to my wall. This tape is VERY sticky and holds well, and the chart doesn't move. I honestly don't think cellophane tape would be strong or sticky enough for this application.Note: One photo shows a small square of tape underneath the laminated chart, and it looks like there is lots of visible texture. This is because the chart is pretty thin, and my wall is heavily textured.I'm very pleased with this double-sided fabric tape, and I recommend it.
I'm so domestically challenged it's not even funny anymore. Cooking, sewing, any of that domestic stuff I hate, and I suck at. I'd honestly rather dig a ditch. So, when I saw this bonding tape required not only no sewing, but no ironing (something I also suck at and hate) I was sold, hoping it worked. If something needs to be hemmed or sewn it usually has a long wait so hoping this is the answer. I tried it on a hem that was coming down on a pair of shorts. It seems to be holding well. I haven't washed them yet, so I can't speak on whether it holds up to washing but it feels strong so I think it will hold for at least several washes. Also, this tape is strong and can be used for so many other things, not just fabric. I definitely recommend it.
