I used Rode Wireless Go II units for almost a year doing live sound at small venues and corporate events before switching to this Stritch M5 system and the difference in how it handles multiple channels is honestly night and day. The Rode stuff works fine for simple two person setups but once you need to run three or four mics at the same time things got messy with dropouts and the occasional channel that would just stop working until you power cycled everything which is not something you can do in the middle of a live event. What really stands out with this M5 is the effortless operation because I can set up four channels in maybe ten minutes total without needing to manually assign frequencies or worry about interference between units like I had to do with some other UHF systems I tried. The fact that it works with a range of equipment means I've used the same receivers with everything from my Mackie mixer to various PA speakers at different venues and even plugged directly into a recorder when I was doing field interviews last month for a podcast client. My Rode units were more limited in terms of what they could connect to and needed adapters for half the equipment I encountered which was annoying when you're trying to work quickly. The stable signal over long distances has saved me multiple times at outdoor events where talent needs to move around a large area, I did a product launch last week in a warehouse space that was probably 60 metres from end to end and the signal held perfectly even when the presenter walked behind metal shelving units and concrete pillars that would have caused problems with my old 2.4GHz gear. The latency being under 1 millisecond is something you don't really notice until you've worked with systems that have noticeable delay and then you realize how much that tiny lag was throwing off timing for live performances.Build quality feels professional with the metal housings on both transmitter and receiver units instead of the plastic shells on consumer grade wireless mics that crack if you look at them wrong. Battery life gets me through most full day events without needing to swap or recharge which matters when you're doing back to back sessions and don't have time to babysit charging equipment between gigs.
This is a pretty solid wireless microphone system. It's easy to set up, just plug the female transmitter into the male XLR microphone then plug your male XLR receiver into the amplifier or mixing board female XLR input or you can use the 6.35 adapter for a 6.35 input as I did into my amplifier then just pair the receiver with the transmitter you have 4 channels to choose from and once they are paired up your ready to go.It does put out good quality sound and you can get a good range with it too. I was about 20 feet away from the receiver and it picked up really good without any static or interference.I was pleasantly surprised with this system on how well built it is but also the quality of the sound and the amount of range you get with it too.I like it They can turn a wired XLR microphone into a wireless microphone pretty quickly and easily Well worth it in my opinion I would definitely recommend it.
The kit consists of a transmitter, which plugs into the XLR socket of your mic, and a receiver, also XLR, that plugs into your mixer / sound interface. XLR to ¼” jack adapters are also provided. As is a USB A to USB C cable for charging the units. Please note that the M5 (this set), does NOT support 48V phantom power - you'll need the M3 for that). Battery life is claimed to be around 6 hours and my tests seem to confirm this estimate.Performance and sound quality are both excellent, with no noticeable distortion or hum.
The strength of this system becomes clear the moment it is powered on. The connection locks in quickly, delivering a clear and stable signal even in busy environments where other wireless setups struggle. Voices and instruments retain their natural tone thanks to the precise transmission and low latency response. The compact design makes the system convenient for travel and setup, while the solid metal XLR connectors provide a reassuring level of durability. In a rehearsal setting, the system handled multiple performers with ease, maintaining consistent performance across the four available channels. The long range transmission proved reliable during walk through tests in large rooms, allowing full mobility without sacrificing audio quality. The battery life supported several hours of use on a single charge, which was particularly helpful during extended sessions. This is an excellent choice for creators, musicians, speakers, and educators who need a practical wireless solution that performs with confidence.
I had high hopes for this system, especially reading all the other reviews. Unfortunately it did not work.Lets preface this review by stating I'm a full time filmmaker with an audio engineering background.I got the system, plugged the receiver on a Zoom H5 recorder and the transmitter on a Sennheiser MKE600, both high end equipment (well, really low mid tier, but still professional grade). Nothing. Nada. Zip.Ok, maybe I need to charge the units. I charged them until the red light was off. Tested again. Nothing.Turned off Phantom power on the Zoom. Nothing.Tried all 4 channels. NothingTired a FIfine podcast Microphone. Nothing.Based on the other reviews, looks like this is a good unit, unfortunately I got a defective one.
