This item is rancid. I opened one page to taste and it was not edible. It is listed as "not returnable" but thought you should know that the chips were rancid, definitely NOT edible.
I have read other customers rant and rave about these chips, do I decided to order them. They have only 3 ingredients, one of them being 'Beef Tallow", which is basically beef fat, I would assume. Anyway, these chips are nice and crisp, BUT, you can definitely taste the tallow, which I am NOT a fan of, thus the 2 stars. Some people may love these and love the tallow taste, but I am not one of them. I would NOT order again, in fact, I am trying to find someone to give the second bag to. Not every food product you see advertised as great is great. Just saying.
Glad to see these on the market for wellness reasons. Good flavor and crispy chips. I found them rather salty, but I also prefer low or no-salt items overall. In small amounts, they are just fine. Price is a downside, but the lack of bad ingredients is a huge plus for my crew. Will buy again.
These chips are a delicious alternative to regular chips. Something i can give my kids and not feel guilty about it. No seed oils, cooked in beef tallow and such a delicious flavor!
Not terrible but not the same as ordering directly from Vandy- seems like lower quality. Not whole pieces in there, lots of broken chips. Same ingredients and flavor which is nice. Different colored bag (green) vs directly from Vandy is black for original. Maybe a less-quality product made specifically for Amazon for margin purposes.
I was really curious to try these chips after hearing about the simple ingredients and tallow cooking method. I’ll admit, I was a little hesitant at first because I saw some mixed reviews mentioning stale chips, but I’m happy to say that wasn’t my experience at all.The bags I received were fresh, nicely sealed, and the chips were super crisp! The flavor is rich and savory thanks to the beef tallow - it gives the chips a more satisfying, almost hearty taste compared to regular seed oil chips. They’re thicker than a Lay’s chip, but not quite as thick as Ruffles, and have a really enjoyable crunch. If you’re looking for a cleaner snack with no weird oils or additives, these are worth trying.
These are about the worst potato chips I have ever eaten. I have heard advertisements bragging about how these chips are the greatest ones ever. That's not what I have experienced. Wish they were eligible for return. Guess I'll just have to eat them anyway.
I love that they’re made with grass-fed beef tallow instead of seed oils. The ingredient list is clean, and they don’t taste greasy or overly salty like a lot of mainstream chips. I like how they are thick and actually taste fresh which is rare for packaged chips
