The wooden bars come intact but you have to put on the grip and bottom adhesives yourself. I really hate putting on any type of grip on by myself, since I always mess up where I don't wrap it nicely or I don't put enough on or too much. However, I guess I did okay putting on this grip, I just wrapped it and then cut off the end and then did the same with the other. I did have some leftover grip. The grip sticks onto itself so there is no need to tape it. So far it hasn't unwrapped itself, but there is that worry it may do that over time. There are also buttom adhesives to add grippage on the bottom, these are easy enough to just stick on the 4 corners.I am using these bars just for pushups. So far they seem very stable and sturdy, nothing feels like it will fall apart and it seems to hold my weight (~140 lbs) fine without issue. It seems balanced also, where there is no wobble or tilting. I like how light weight they are, so I can just easily take them out for a second to do a set then put them away quickly. The grip helps with gripping but using your whole weight on those bars can be kind of taxing on the palms, so I don't know if I needed to add more grip to make it thicker or if thats just the nature of the exercise since a lot of your weight is on those bars on the palms. The bottom floor grip does hold up well without slippage when I either do pushups on carpet or a smooth hardwood floor, so that works well enough. The height of the pushup bars only adds around 3-4 inches of height, so not really ideal to do deeper pushups, which was my initial intention for these, I want to go deeper to make my pushups harder and have a larger range, but these bars are just not as high as I would like. However, 3-4 inches is good for a beginning and is definitely better than just the floor.

I got these because my husband thought they’d be useful if he can’t get to the gym on occasion. They appear to be made of hardwood and are very sturdy. He tried them out and they handled the weight he put on them with no problem. He even managed to put all his weight on them for a short period. They come with anti-slip adhesive pads that you affix to the bottoms and a roll of sticky ace bandage to roll over the handles. Because the ace bandage roll is self-sticking, you could replace it with a new roll that you can purchase yourself if ever needed. My husband was quite happy with them. I found another listing for a metal version and asked if he’d prefer that, and he said no, the wood version was good. I tried to use it myself, and they worked fine, but I wasn't able to test them out as well as he did. Overall, nice calisthenics bars.

These are... okay. If your goal is to elevate your training, literally, these fall short—very short. They’re extremely low to the ground, which kind of defeats the purpose. How is one supposed to L-sit when you're barely an inch off the floor? Not well. I’ve got other push-up bars made of heavy plastic that actually give me clearance, and I deeply regret swapping them for these. The real kicker? I assumed the “7.88 inches” referred to height. Nope—it’s the length. Which is super duper confusing, because I don’t know a single person whose closed fist is 7.88 inches wide. That’s almost twice the size of mine. So gripping these feels awkward and cramped, not ergonomic. The wood is smooth and they look nice, but functionally, they’re not what I needed. If you’re just doing basic push-ups and want something compact, they might work. But for L-sits, dips, or anything that requires actual elevation, look elsewhere.

The Wooden Parallettes Bars for Calisthenics are absolutely fantastic and exceeded my expectations in every way. As someone who incorporates bodyweight exercises into my daily fitness routine, these bars have quickly become an essential piece of equipment in my home gym.First, the build quality is outstanding. The wood feels smooth, durable, and well-crafted, with no rough edges or splinters. They are clearly made to last and can handle intense training sessions without any wobble. The size (7.88 inches) is just right—high enough to give me clearance for deeper push-ups, dips, and L-sits, but compact enough to remain stable and easy to store.I’ve been able to do handstands, push-ups, and core workouts with much better wrist comfort compared to doing them directly on the floor. The ergonomic design reduces strain on my wrists and allows for a more natural grip, which is a huge plus.Stability is one of the best things about these parallettes. They don’t slide around during use, even on hard surfaces, and they give me complete confidence when practicing handstands. They’re also lightweight and portable, which makes it easy to move them around the house or even take them outdoors for a workout. The natural wooden finish is not only aesthetically pleasing but also provides excellent grip. I never feel like my hands will slip, even during sweaty sessions.I’ve tried metal parallettes in the past, but these wooden ones feel warmer, more comfortable, and more “natural” in use.The versatility is fantastic—I’ve used them for push-ups, dips, planche practice, L-sits, tuck holds, and even some balance training.Another great feature is how compact they are. They don’t take up much space, so they’re perfect for a home gym, even if you’re limited on room. The craftsmanship really stands out. Everything feels sturdy and well-balanced, with no wobbling or unevenness.I also love that they’re beginner-friendly but strong enough to support advanced moves. Anyone can benefit from them, regardless of fitness level. The price point is very reasonable considering the durability and quality of the product. They feel like something you’d find in a professional gym.I’ve noticed an improvement in my form and strength since using them because they allow for deeper movements and better alignment. They’re also easy to clean and maintain—just a quick wipe-down and they’re good as new.If you’re serious about calisthenics, bodyweight training, or just want to level up your home workouts, these parallettes are an amazing investment. They’ve made my training sessions more enjoyable and effective, and I look forward to using them every day.I can’t recommend them enough—they’re simple, effective, and built to last.Overall, this is a 5-star product that delivers on quality, performance, and value. A must-have for any fitness enthusiast!
