i recently used this tape to hang a few pictures in my home office and it worked pretty well - the adhesive was strong but not too aggressive on the wall paint. however, i did notice that it left some residue when i pulled it off which took a bit of scrubbing with soap and water to get rid of. overall, its a good tape for light use like this and might get another try from me if i need something similar.
I received the two pack roll which arrived in a single box containing individually wrapped tape rolls inside. Detailed and well written instructions for using the tape were included in the boxes--a big help. This is a high quality mounting tape--a foam rubbery tape surrounded by a peel away plastic which allows you to handle the tape before mounting. The seller says it is outdoor usable--meaning cold, hot and waterproof. Haven't had a chance to test it in all conditions frankly but I do have some experience with this seller and it is generally good. The trick, I think, with this type of tape is to be sure that the surfaces are really clean before attempting to use it--else you are simply trying to stick the tape to the dirt on the surface.I am giving this high marks while I use it.
I’ve been using this double-sided tape for a few different things around the house, and I’m genuinely impressed. It feels very heavy-duty and durable, and the application is super easy. I used it for some wall décor and also for securing a small item in my car, and it’s held up perfectly—no slipping or peeling at all.The best part is that it sticks strong without needing any extra primer or prep. Just place, press, and it stays put. It also doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy like some tapes I’ve tried before.Overall, really happy with this purchase. Does exactly what it claims and does it well.
This tape has a nice strong adhesive. Works awesome for remounting badges and emblems after doing paint corrections.Cuts easily for getting the right size pieces made up and the backing is removed fairly easily as well. I find a pair of tweezers helps to get under the edge.Price seems pretty good in comparison to the 3m alternative
I'm very impressed with the quality and strong adhesiveness of this roll of foam mounting tape.I used it to mount a small "No Soliciting" sign above our door bell. It is holding up really well. Since the tape is suited for outdoor use, I expect no fall out due to heat or rain. Actually, my small 3D printed plastic sign will likely degrade and deform faster than the foam tape.I mounted a metal hook to a kitchen cabinet door with it. I'm glad I didn't have to screw in the hook. I also replaced some of the failed tape mounts in the house with this one - this time, with excellent results. So far, my usage is limited to light duty objects, I will try it on mounting heavier objects later. This tape is stronger than some of the name branded ones I used. As a DIYer, this is a very happy find on Amazon.
At the Patrick Workshop, we go through a fair share of double-stick tape. From holding a panel in place while glue sets to keeping a jig steady for a quick cut, it’s one of those quiet heroes that gets the job done without fuss. But every now and then, we need something more serious - a tape that can hold trim, fixtures, or metal parts firmly enough to stay put for the long haul yet still let us make changes if the project takes a new turn. That’s where this EMITEVER heavy-duty acrylic foam tape comes into play. Most of the time, our use is temporary - we just need a reliable hand while fasteners go in or adhesives cure. But “semi-permanent” is when we have the option for permanence and the ability to edit later. This tape handles both situations well. Its 3-layer acrylic foam core has enough give to conform to uneven surfaces and enough muscle to hold weighty parts steady. The black LSE adhesive grabs hard-to-stick plastics, powder coatings, and composites with ease. It’s basically the workshop equivalent of a sure handshake - confident but not overbearing. We tested it on a few different surfaces: aluminum channel, painted MDF, and a slick poly trim strip. All bonded quickly with no primer, and the repositioning window gave just enough time to nudge things into place. Once pressed, it stayed put even after a weekend of Texas humidity swings. That’s saying something.Sidebar - What is LSE Adhesive:LSE stands for Low Surface Energy. These are special adhesives made to bond to slick, waxy plastics that ordinary tapes can’t grip. Instead of sitting on top of the surface, the adhesive “wets out” - it spreads microscopically and creates chemical contact with the material.Sidebar - Primer-Free Bonding:Some adhesives need a primer - a prep coat that improves grip. This tape skips that step entirely. The LSE adhesive is strong enough to bond directly, which saves time and avoids the mess (and fumes) of liquid primers.Sidebar - Hard-to-Bond Substrates:Surfaces like powder-coated metal, composites, or plastics such as polypropylene often repel normal adhesives. Their smoothness and low surface energy make it tough for glue to grab on. LSE tapes are engineered to handle exactly that challenge.Sidebar - Low Surface Energy Plastics (Examples):These include polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), Teflon (PTFE), and silicone rubber. They feel slick to the touch, like waxed paper or new plastic packaging - that’s what makes them hard to stick to.Sidebar - Why Use a Tape Like This:Compared to liquid glues or screws, acrylic foam tapes distribute stress evenly and form a waterproof seal. They also absorb vibration and avoid drilling holes where you don’t want them - handy for automotive trim, signage, or decorative fixtures.✅ Pros:Strong hold on metals, composites, and LSE plasticsPrimer-free and easy to position before final compressionWaterproof and temperature resistant (-104°F to 176°F)Conforms well to curves and uneven surfacesSuitable for both temporary and semi-permanent bonds❌ Cons:Overkill for lightweight materials like paper or craft foamNot ideal if you need easy peel-off reuse Verdict:A trustworthy, shop-grade tape that bridges the gap between temporary and permanent bonding. Once you try it, you’ll keep a roll close at hand.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5
This double sided tape is very easy to cut and use. The red plastic film protecting the adhesive was easy to remove. The instruction booklet says that it takes 72 hours for the adhesive to cure. Given that I was using this tape to stick something in which the original adhesive had failed, I wanted to make sure that I followed the instructions to give it the greatest chance of sticking successfully. I used it to stick some LED lights (in aluminum housing) under my kitchen cabinets and so far it's holding without issues.
Picked this heavy duty double sided tape up for a bathroom project and it did great and is holding strong. It’s working well and was easy to use. The instructions are clear and helpful. I recommend this project for any of your diy to do list! It’s a good deal.
When you first rip it open it feels like it's super sticky, because the sides are sticky. But when you touch the actual tape, not that sticky. However once you apply it and press it on, that's when it starts to shine. And looks like their is a brief curing period for full affect. The tape is soft rubber-spongy, not foam-spongy. And it's not too thick.Which is good because that means it can withstand some abuse, weather, temperature. If you tried to peel it off after applied, it may take off some bits of whatever if was stuck to.And it sticks best to smooth surfaces. It has good tension strength for both the sticky and it's form.
EMITEVER double sided tape definitely gets the job done. So far I've used it on the wood paneling of an indoor door and on the metal of a filling cabinet. In both cases, it stayed firmly in place. I mounted a desk calendar to the filing cabinet, and it's held great. The door was a gamble, not for the tape, but for my purpose of hoping it would keep the cat from scratching that area. Apparently both she and the tape are equally stubborn. She still scratched, but the tape didn't budge!
