So I excitedly opened the box and read the instructions on how to get started, downloaded the app and turned on the device. Once the device was paired with the app, I tried to record my first video and was met with the soul crushing message, "SD card error". The device doesn't seem to be able to be used without an SD card. As I set out to find an SD card to buy online (as well as a storage pouch), I began digging through the box the camera arrived in as I realized I had not yet seen everything in it, only to further dig through the box to find not only a pouch for storage, but a SANDISK Ultra 64GB SD card!! (Obviously I had forgotten what it comes with since it's in one of the product pictures lol).TLDR; The camera comes with everything pictured.I really like that it comes with a waterproof case so it can really be taken on adventures and get some pretty cool shots lolThe quality of the picture and audio is crisp, and the camera is incredibly portable. There are various settings to tweak picture quality on the camera. These are my impressions straight out of the box and after recording a video. I will return and update my review if anything changes. For now, I feel as though the camera is a good buy for the price!
Bought as a gift but was there when it was opened. Looked very well made w many extras
Really good quality and easy to use very pleased with it
I was looking for a compact action camera that could keep up with my travel adventures, and this product has been a fantastic find. The 4K video is surprisingly crisp for such a small device, and the 20MP photos are great for sharing. What really sold me was the battery life. Seven hours of recording time has been plenty for my needs! I recently used it on a day hike, and it lasted the entire time without needing a recharge. The magnetic mount is also super convenient for attaching it to my backpack strap. Plus, the included 64GB card was a nice bonus. I think this product is a great value at this price point and definitely recommend it!
Not easy to use. Very disappointing!
I'm a newbee in vlog, and always looking for a small, cheap, light, high-resolution motion camera. I think I found the one here. The camera is able to work continuously over 1 hour for 4k recording using 2 batteries, despite sometimes it may get stuck, or become very hot after long-time recording. I really enjoy its 4k quality, but when I film very near objects it blurs heavily due to its fixed focal length. The accessories are enough for recording in different scenarios, but it is too difficult to touch the screen outside the silicon waterproof case. I didn't find a remote controller in the package, which could be very useful underwater. Overall it has the average performance for a mainstream vlog camera that meets my needs well.
I have to say up front that the picture is great in a well lit environment. Not too great for nights or low light locations. The audio recording also is not that great. That being said, I am satisfied for what it is for the price point. Don't expect a banger out of the box. It serves a purpose.
Only had this for a few days, so I may update my review later. Initial impressions are very good. Looks reasonably well made and the addition of a longer life battery is a nice bonus. Plenty of accessories too, things such as a waterproof housing and a bracket assembly for using it as a dash cam. These unfortunately only fit the smaller battery (as far as I can see). The controls are fiddly as they're touch screen and of course the screen is, by necsessity, small. Even with my slim fingers I found it tricky changing the 4k settings. Removing the small battery is a doddle, just a press on the button on the base. Removing the larger battery is not ideal as there is no button and it seems it has to be forced off. All in all though, I'm pretty satisfied up to now. Worth the money. Update: I have now used one of the attachments and tried it as a dashcam. I am really impressed, it's simple but effective. It picked up the conversation in the car very well, although this wasn't a necessity for me. I edited the finished video segments in DaVinci Resolve, but that's just my personal taste. I now give it a cautious 5 *.
Great little action camera with its built-in screen. I tested its waterproof capabilities by snorkelling, and it handled the underwater scenes beautifully. Low light quality is not too bad. I wish the battery lasted longer
I love this camera as it is so intuitive to use!It comes with an assortment of attachments, some of which I will never use, such as the underwater housing. I have used the body clip attachment the most as it is so easy to attach the camera to and clip to the shoulder strap of my rucksack. The battery extension pack could be useful, but it does not allow use with the body clip - more of a handheld feature. The video and sound quality is very good and offers good imagery in most types of light - well, all the types of light I have used it in. Not tried it on a dark night with or without external lighting... yet! The video clip, recorded on the London Underground, is unedited and was just a recording made with the camera clipped to my rucksack. An excellent camera!
Was excited went to do the set up and it went into a Lock Screen. Have tried 20 different things still can't get it out
This camera surprised me with how much it offers for the price. The 4K video looks crisp, and the stabilization keeps things from looking like I filmed while running a marathon. I like that it comes with so many mounts and even a memory card, so I didn’t have to go hunting for extras just to start using it.The dual touch screens are a nice touch, especially when I’m framing shots or flipping it around for vlogging. Battery life is also better than I expected—I can record for a good stretch before worrying about charging. It’s small, easy to carry, and the waterproof case makes it fun to experiment with shots I wouldn’t normally try. It’s not going to replace a high-end setup, but for casual use, travel, or creative angles, it’s a solid piece of gear. Definitely worth grabbing if you want something affordable and versatile. Full 5 stars.
This SJCAM C300 vlogging camera will shoot video with a resolution/maximum frame rate of 4K at 30fps, 2K at 60fps, 1080p and 720p at 120fps and boasts a stills resolution of 20MP (5,184 x 3,888). The camera is used as one of two configurations - the smaller configuration uses the smaller battery pack which uses the screen on the front. The larger configuration uses the long battery pack and the screen on the back there being a total of up to seven hours of filming without rechargingOn the base of the longer battery, there is a quarter BSW threaded hole so that you can mount it on a tripod or a selfie stick. The shorter battery, however, has a lot of fittings for using it: one variant is a sealed, transparent container with action camera mount that you can use underwater; two variants that also fix onto the action camera mount and finally, one version that simply clips onto your clothes or a rucksack strap. The action camera mounts fix to two supplied pads - one of these is for flat surfaces and the other one is curved so that it can be fixed onto a helmet or a similar surface. The action camera mount is fairly universal so it can be attached to pretty much any surface via other means of attachment. The images are stored on a memory card that fits into the body of the camera in much the same way as a SIM card as you can see in the photograph,. with the card sitting in the socket and the metal clip holding it in place when it is slid there. The camera is easy to use - all you do is press the circular button that is under the screen whichever way around you are using it. The image or menu appear on the screen and the options such as image resolution, mode of operation, quality and so on appear there. The screens are both touch sensitive so you literally work your way through the menu options by touching the screen which is a lot easier than it is on some other cameras. The 4K video looks good quality and as far as I could tell, was the real thing. However, I did run a Nyquist frequency test and found that, in stills mode, at a resolution of 20MP, the image looked as though it had been upscaled in both dimensions by a factor of two, that is to say that the 20MP image was originally a 5MP image that was just made bigger by guessing the value of the intermediate pixels - this type of thing does not add any information or detail to the image, it just makes it biggerOn the whole, this is a good little vlogging camera that will do what you need it to for that purpose as well as many other jobs. The stills resolution is not there however, unless you put an upper limit on the images of around 5MP.
