MAONO PD200W hybrid wireless podcast microphone. This was on sale for £129.99 when I got it. This is a good microphone that can be placed on a desktop using the supplied base and extension pole. From setting it up and connecting it to my phone, it was a very simple procedure. I popped the receiver into the USB C port on my phone, it fit perfectly, even though I use a case on my phone and was immediately recognised and began working. I turned the microphone on by pressing and holding on the power button on the back and then opened up the recorder app on the phone. The sound quality was very good, I started off with the mic at a distance of 12 inches from my mouth facing it, then moved it away to 24 inches, still facing it, then the same distances but facing 90 degrees away from it and you couldn’t tell the difference. The recording was clear, the audio sounded great with no additional noises picked up.Sometimes we’ll go as a family on a paranormal investigation and now I can take this mic with me and set it up on a table and record audio of people doing the Estes method. The sound quality is great, the battery life is long, you can turn the lights off so it doesn’t interfere or bother people. It takes literally a couple of minutes to unbox it and set it up on site. The only thing I noticed was that it wouldn’t let me playback the audio on the phone whilst the receiver was plugged in. I do assume that if I plugged a set of headphones into the back of the mic that that would allow me to hear it back, but if not, it’s not a problem.Haven’t used it yet, but the Maono Link software sounds really useful to be able to use with this.
I got the MAONO PD200W and it's honestly awsome. It looks super cool with the RGB lights and the sound is crazy clear even when my room isn’t that quiet. I like that I can use it wireless or just plug it in with USB or XLR, so it works with everything. The battery last forever too, I used it like all day and it didn’t die.The MaonoLink app is also really fun to play with, you can change the sound, add some effects and make it how you like. It’s super easy to setup, I didn’t even need to read the whole manual lol. Definetly one of the best mics I’ve tried, totally worth it!
This microphone system stands out for how versatile it is. It works in three different ways, that be wireless, USB, and XLR, which makes it easy to fit into just about any setup, from a home desk to a proper recording space. The option to switch between these modes means it’s not tied to one specific use, and that’s probably its strongest point. The sound quality is described as warm and clear, with the dynamic capsule doing a good job at cutting out background noise. People who use it for podcasts or voice recording mention that it picks up speech naturally without harsh tones or distortion, even when you’re close to the mic. You won't sound like them microphone eating airport or train station announcers do. The noise cancellation feature seems to help a lot in less than perfect rooms, keeping voices clean without needing heavy software filtering. The wireless function is something that gets mentioned a lot in reviews. The range is long enough to move about a bit while recording, and the connection stays steady. It can even connect two microphones to one receiver, which is great for co-hosting or interviews. The battery life is long, around sixty hours, so it’s not something you need to worry about midway through a session.Another plus is the companion software. It lets you adjust EQ and reverb, or switch between preset modes depending on what you’re recording. It’s straightforward and adds a nice level of control without being overly complicated. The RGB lighting is optional and can be turned off if you prefer something more understated, but as younger generation would say, it's cool (not sure they still say this).Considering what’s included and the quality, the mic, cables, stand, receiver, and adapters, it’s quite a complete kit not only by amount, but also reasonable price. Okay, the price can feel steep at full cost, but it’s very good value when on promotion, so at least that if you're feeling a bit short on what you'd dish out for it. For anyone setting up a small studio, streaming setup, or just looking for a reliable mic that can grow with their needs, this one seems a very sound choice.
The MAONO PD200W microphone has completely upgraded my podcasting setup. The sound is clear and professional, with excellent noise cancellation that reduces background distractions. I love that it’s a hybrid mic I can use it wirelessly or via USB/XLR depending on my setup, which gives me a lot of flexibility for home studio or streaming. The desktop stand is sturdy, and the included software makes adjustments easy. Setup was straightforward, even for someone who isn’t very tech-savvy. Whether recording vocals, doing voiceovers, or streaming, this mic delivers crisp, consistent audio. Overall, it’s a high-quality, versatile microphone that’s perfect for content creators at any level.
I like many things about this microphone kit. The microphone itself is of high quality and does a good job of reproducing spoken words without collecting too much of the other sounds that might be in the room. You can connect wirelessly or via USB-cable to a PC or phone and connect using an XLR cable to an audio interface, if you have a cable and an interface. I'll be testing the XLR connectivity later. The microphone has a 1/4" headphone input to allow you to listen even when connected wirelessly.Maono has a software application to provide noise reduction and EQ, but I did not test the software. I usually adjust the sound in OBS or fix in post-production if needed. The wireless receiver works well with an iPhone, just be careful if you want to connect headphones to the mic that you adjust the iPhone's output to use the Maono mic. This is an iPhone issue, not a Maono issue. The kit also includes a sturdy stand for a desktop. I found that touching the stand imparts noise to a recording, so make sure you place it wear you don't accidentally touch it to avoid needing to re-record.The wireless receiver is less useful on a desktop computer or a laptop since its width may not allow the adapter to fit if there is a nearby USB or other port in use. You may need to get an extension cord or use the USB-A adapter. The RGB lighting is functional and easily adjusted or turned off, if you want.I wasn't a fan of the control buttons or their layout. Different controls are differently sized and in various random places. The power button is very small and not intuitively placed. I would prefer a push button, but the need to use a 2-second vs a 3-second press does make it harder to turn off by accident. This might just be something I need to get used to with frequent use.
The Maono PD200W Hybrid Wireless Microphone has completely exceeded our expectations. The sound quality is crisp, clear, and reliable — perfect for both studio and on-the-go use. What truly stands out, though, is Maono’s incredible post-sales support.Even long after our purchase, their team continues to provide quick, thoughtful assistance whenever we have a question. It’s rare these days to find a company that not only delivers great products but also stands behind them with such care and professionalism.Thank you, Maono, for continuing to raise the bar with both your technology and your service!
This was so easy to set up with my pc and is great quality. Ideal for web streaming or vocals.
This item is so great for many reasons. It is super easy to assemble. It was very simple to get the mic connected and working right away. I also made a mistake by not ordering the version that contained the RX Lighting receiver, which is compatible with my current iPhone. However, I reached out to the team and was offered a receiver immediately. I appreciate their quick response and detailed/informative direction on how to solve my issue. I will be purchasing again soon.
Great sound and easy setup out of the box
Its sad that I really love the mic but the bottom rubber came off in day 2. Thinking of returning. Is this something anyone experienced?
Wonderful wireless mic to podcast anywhere! and a link to hook up to my computer or phone, Thank you.
